My Best Friend Sneha’s Wedding
Sneha and her bridesmaids get a little peak of Paris via WeddingSutra and L’Oreal Paris.
Paris may be the city of love but this Parisian themed pre-wedding photoshoot was a Girls’ Day Out for bride-to-be Sneha and her girl squad. With a little help from L’Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss hair color, the new Color Riche Moisture Matte Lipsticks and Gold Obsession makeup, WeddingSutra treated this girl squad to a day of pampering and preening.
At the editorial shoot of My Best Friend’s Wedding, Bride to be Sneha tells us about her lovely experience with her bridesmaids, Pooja, Ayesha, Tanvi, Priyanka and Pooja. The girls wore stunning designer wear from Manish Malhotra, Papa Don’t Preach, Kamaali Couture, Bhumika Grover and Payal Singhal with jewellery from Velvetcase.
Their flawless makeup was courtesy L’Oreal Paris, a favorite of top makeup artists like Shamita Gogia and Taniyaa Khanna. The day was captured, as it happened in true candid spirit by Stuti Sakhalkar from The Cheesecake Project amidst sparkly décor by June 8 and some glasses of the premium Moët & Chandon champagne to celebrate the special occasion.
Sneha was elated when she found out she was WeddingSutra’s ‘the chosen one’! “I have loved the editorials on the website and the chance to feature in the ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ shoot with my best pals – Pooja Patel, Ayesha Maloo, Tanvi Ballikar, Priyanka Khurrana, Pooja Chedda – it was amazing!”
The tune ‘Here comes the bride’ must have played in onlookers heads as Sneha and her lovely girls made their entry into the beautiful Four Seasons suite at the hotel in Worli, Mumbai. Sneha loved it instantly. “It’s spacious and luxurious! And with our Parisian theme going on, it’s perfection!” Sneha said.
This squad wasted no time picking from an array of designer lehengas, jewellery and exquisite makeup from L’Oreal Paris. Here we decode the best looks of them.
Sneha Rai- Bride
For Sneha it was a lehenga in royal blue with multicolored embroidery by designer Manish Malhotra. The stunning polki and emerald set by Bikaneri Jewels for Velvetcase and the matching bangles by SVJ, surely accentuated the gorgeousness of the attire and makeup to create a stunning ‘runway’ bridal look. Makeup artist Shamita Gogia worked on the bride, developing a glamorous look with statement lips. Sneha loved it, “Shamita made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. She gently brushed on the L’Oreal Paris Glam Bronzer to warm up my face. The La Palette eye shadow added dimension to my eyes and Le blush added a healthy glow to my face.” With lips being the main focus, Shamita accentuated them with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Wine Marsala.

Pooja Chedda
Pooja’s eyes were set on the ruffled blue number by Pooja Papa Don’t Preach. She accessorized it with ornate earrings from Juwelina Paris for Velvetcase and also colored her hair in Mahogany with L’Oreal Paris Casting Crème Gloss Says Pooja. “I always wanted to color my hair and I felt that the deep mahogany hair color added a subtle gloss to my hair and suited my wheatish skin tone perfectly.” Makeup artist Taniyaa Khanna worked her magic by creating a matte face and bold lips look with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moisture Matte lipstick in Plum Mannequin.

Pooja Patel
Pooja favored a feminine look and preferred to wear a beautiful Papa Don’t Preach blue lehenga with gentle cutwork flowers. Makeup artist Taniyaa Khanna created the perfect matte nude lipstick look by using L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Beige Couture and a subtle brush of the Lucent Magique Blush.

Ayesha Maloo
Ayesha wanted to mix and match traditional and contemporary aesthetic and thus wore a fabulous saree-gown by Kamaali Couture with a delicate necklace from Velvetcase. A touch of the Le Smokey Eyeliner in Stormy Sea and bold coral lips using by L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Rouge-a-Porter finished her understated glam look.

Tanvi Ballikar
Tanvi twirled in a delicate sky blue Anarkali by Bhumika Grover. Since she loved jewellery, she paired it with a timeless Nizam earrings from Prerto for Velvetcase to turn up the glam factor instantly. Makeup Artist Taniyaa Khanna designed a 90s makeup look for her. Taniyaa explains, “We wanted to give her a semi-matte face with a bold brown lipstick and some smoky eyes. I chose the Brown Sucre shade lipstick from L’Oreal’s Paris Color Riche Moisture Matte Lisptick Collection as they are very moisturizing. I finished the final look with beautiful smoky eyes that I created using L’Oreal’s Le Smoky eyeliner in Purple Dream to add in a bit of drama to her face.”

Priyanka Khurrana
It was a powder blue Payal Singhal saree for Priyanka Khurrana that not only looked elegant but was also very comfortable. Since it was a traditional look, Priyanka accessorized her gorgeous saree with classic for chic vintage necklace set from Harsha Patel for Velvetcase. Her makeup look was kept simple with a touch of L’Oreal Paris’ Le Blush in pink and Color Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Choc Bisuous. Priyanka always wanted to color her hair and this, she felt, was the perfect time to add a tinge of brown to her hair! “ I loved the L’Oreal Paris Casting Crème Glossin Praline brown. It was not only very easy to apply but also is ammonia-free, which means my hair not only felt healthier but also glossier.”

Finally, it was time for a bridesmaid photo session… Photographer Stuti Sakhalkar from The Cheesecake Project made sure the girls were laughing and comfortable as she gave them some invaluable tips on posture and posing. “Stuti was very enthusiastic and chatted with us constantly to make us feel less conscious. She also told us to enjoy every moment so that she could capture some candid shots of us,” explains Sneha.
The sweet treats and cupcakes from the Hungry Monsters were a sugar rush as the girls gossiped, but for Sneha, there was a rush of emotions too, “It was such an amazing day. I am so happy to share it with my best friends. If only my friend Saher could have made it, this moment would be complete. But still, I am very happy and couldn’t thank the team enough for such a beautiful experience.”
We at WeddingSutra enjoyed giving Sneha and her bridesmaids a memorable ‘Parisian’ experience, and wish them all the joie de vivre in the world for the future!
