Aditi Parikh – JW Marriott

For the grand edition of our monthly event WeddingSutra on Location, we invited seven brides-to-be for a unique experience at the newest five star hotel in Mumbai, JW Marriott Sahar. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants got an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here, in the fifth of the seven-part series, Dr Aditi Parikh blogs about her experience at the Grand WeddingSutra on Location.

‘A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous’– Coco Chanel

The words ‘classy’ and ‘fabulous’ perfectly describe WeddingSutra on Location. I heard about it from my friend Mitali Sheth, who had participated in it and was all praise; I was convinced this is something ‘wow’ so you can imagine my delight when I received an email from WeddingSutra informing me that I had been selected for the Grand on Location shoot at JW Marriott, Sahar, Andheri.

As soon as I entered the bridal suite, the entire WeddingSutra team was very warm and introduced me to the team of experts they had invited. I then went on to see the collection from the best designer haunts in Mumbai- multi-designer store AZA and designers Shyamal & Bhumika and Neeta Lulla. All their creations were lovely, but I decided to try on a bright red ensemble thinking it would suit me best. I tried it on and knew this was just what I wanted. The lehenga, a creation by Riddhi Mehra (available at AZA) was teamed with a gold blouse and a vibrant red dupatta.

Next was hair and make-up. I think the multi-faceted Ojas Rajani and her team did an amazing job with both hair and make-up. I have never been a big fan of make-up, but when Ojas completed the look, complimenting my face and outfit with bright red lipstick, I was blown away. The transformation was magical. The look was finished with a rich gold choker from Azva.

Following the make-over was the much awaited photo shoot by the poolside of JW Marriott. Ashwin and Jhalak from Shades Photography were brilliant at their work, suggesting poses for shots while capturing candid ones alongside.

All in all, it was indeed a fabulous and classy affair. Kudos to team WeddingSutra for setting up such a special experience!”

Aditi’s Look
Ojas started with the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse in Ivory Fair to make Aditi’s skin look flawless with a matte finish. She then set the base with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Compact in Ivory Fair. Next, Ojas transformed her eyes with the coppery shade of Lakmé Absolute Eye Chromatic Baked Shadow in Day Shimmer and skipped the eyeliner. She then gave her eyes a soft smokey look with the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate. She applied a few coats of Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara to open up her eyes. Ojas then brushed on a hint of the Lakmé Absolute Moonlit Highlighter on her cheeks to give a fresh look. To enhance Aditi’s lips, Ojas applied the newest Lakmé Absolute Gloss Addict in Red Rush shade. Aditi has short hair, so Ojas added some extensions and blow dried them inwards towards the chin and the shoulder for a more contoured silhouette complimenting the softness of her face.
