Ashka Shah, AZA, Mumbai
Soon-to-wed Ashka Shah is transformed into a ravishing bride with WeddingSutra Favorites.
In this second of our three-part ‘WeddingSutra on Location’ series, bride-to-be Ashka Shah shares her experience of participating in a fun and fabulous makeover and photo shoot. Since this was a ‘Sangeet Special’, Ashka opted for a breezy pink Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor lehenga from AZA Mumbai which complemented her traditional gold jewellery from Azva. Makeup artist Vipul Bhagat gave Ashka a soft matte look with subtle smokey eyes using the finest Lakme Absolute products. Happyframes, a WeddingSutra Favorite, beautifully shot the entire experience as it unfolded.
Ashka Shah is an avid reader of WeddingSutra, and found out about ‘WeddingSutra on Location’ through social media. She shares, “I got to know about the ‘WeddingSutra On Location’ makeover and shoot series through a friend and also via WeddingSutra’s social media channels. I was delighted to be chosen to be a part of this wonderful opportunity.”
The day started with lehenga fittings at the sprawling AZA store in Bandra, Mumbai, which provided a perfect setting for this fun evening. Ashka wanted a simple yet sophisticated outfit which was comfortable and also looked great in pictures. She elaborates, “The fittings of the lehengas I chose were perfect and the AZA staff were very kind and assisted us at every step. The outfits selected by the team were stunning, but the one that really caught my fancy was a blush pink glittery number by Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor with an off-shoulder blouse which I felt was very appropriate for a sangeet. The ensemble fit me like a glove and the ornate gold jewellery by Azva complemented it perfectly.”
Next up, it was time for a beauty makeover by makeup whiz Vipul Bhagat who used Lakme Absolute products to give Ashka a soft and elegant look. She explains, “I must say, Vipul Bhagat was amazing at what he does and is always open for suggestions and changes – just what a bride needs! He crafted the most amazing soft matte makeup look on me which went very well with my overall attire.”
The bride-to-be especially loved the stunning photos and helpful assistance provided by WeddingSutra Favorite -HappyFrames. “Deepanshi Kapoor of Happyframes was an absolute treat to work with. She was so patient and helped me look my absolute best throughout the shoot. I will cherish these memories forever.”
Ashka’s Look
Makeup artist Vipul Bhagat wanted to create a soft matte look for Ashka. He started by prepping her skin with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation and also used a gentle brush of the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to even out her skin tone. To add some color to her cheeks, Vipul went with the Lakme Absolute Face Stylish Blush Duos in Rose for that natural glow. To accentuate her doe-shaped eyes, Vipul used Lakme Absolute Illuminating Eye shadow in Gold to create a soft smoky eye look that matched the color of Ashka’s lehenga. To intensify the eye makeup further, Vipul applied generous coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara and lined Ashka’s waterline with the Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in Black. He finished off Ashka’s soft matte look with the Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte Masaba Lips in Bubble Pink which added a touch of pretty glamour to her entire look.
