Lavina Mehta – The Courtyard House, Bangalore

WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location, was held at the beautiful Courtyard House, Bangalore. In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Lavina Mehta shares her experience at the ‘WeddingSutra On Location’.
Lavina tells us all about her bridal makeover – wearing Mrunalini Rao of Evoluzione, a gorgeous mint lehenga, being made up by Zorains Studio in the finest of Lakme Absolute products, adorned with bespoke gold jewellery from Azva and posing pretty for a fun photo session with team House on the Clouds. And to think it almost didn’t happen.
“I’m always on the lookout for wedding inspiration,” Lavina says, “Blogs, websites, social media posts. I mean I am getting married this year. So imagine, with all that searching I managed to miss out on the one social media post from WeddingSutra inviting fashion-forward brides in Bangalore to the WeddingSutra On Location shoot!” Fortunately, a friend caught the post and suggested that Lavina apply. Lavina did and when she was chosen, she was really happy. But her mom had some misgivings, “I was so excited but my mum wasn’t keen on the whole idea. So imagine my surprise when, at the end of the entire experience, my mother couldn’t stop talking about everything! She loved my bridal look and my fiancé was quite excited too.”
Lavina’s makeover began with choosing an outfit, “We picked a lovely mint green lehenga by Mrunalini Rao paired with a net dupatta that had a charming gold border. The color complimented my skin tone and I think it suited my personality well. It went beautifully with the gorgeous jewellery from Azva. Then the team from Zorains Studio chose the best products from the Lakmé Absolute range to accentuate my natural features and give me an effervescent glow! And then, the talented photography team from House On The Clouds were so professional and helpful. They were not only patient with all of us but also really friendly.”
Lavina’s Look
Team Zorains Studio started with applying the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation which evenly blends into the skin. It was set with the hydrating Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact in Ivory Fair. To highlight the eyes, they used the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist in black for bold, glittery eyes. Special attention was paid to Lavina’s lashes by applying a couple of coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara for more definition. On her lips, they created a 3D effect using two shades of the Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in Pink Glam and Pink Me Up. Finally, her hair was styled in simple curls.
