Nikita, The Perfect Location
Witness Nikita Saini’s bridal makeover where she looks nothing less than a dream.
WeddingSutra, in collaboration with Azva and Lakmé Absolute, brings you WeddingSutra on Location – a curated showcase of top bridal trends and style statements from some of WeddingSutra Favorites.
WeddingSutra On Location, our most popular initiative, was held at the perfectly named The Perfect Location, Faridabad. Here, unique themes and gorgeous backdrops elevated the mood of the shoot.
The process began when the bride-to-be looked at the Azva treasury of handcrafted bespoke jewellery crafted by skilled artisans. An intricate necklace inspired her choice of a heavily embellished lehenga by Rahul Mishra. Nikita then left it to makeup artist Pooja Khurana to create a look using products from the Lakmé Absolute that would match her selection perfectly. As she went about her day, enjoying the glamor of the experience, photographer Ramit Batra and videographers from Weddarazzi worked together to make this day one that she will never forget, capturing the most remarkable moments on their cameras.
Via complex embroidery and a light color palette, Nikita’s ensemble by Rahul Mishra struck just the right balance showing the versatility of the outfit. As someone who deeply admires the daintiness pastels bring to any attire, the bride-to-be says, “I chose this mint green lehenga by Rahul Mishra because I was in awe of the embroidery! All of it was handwork and the finishing was amazing!”
Adorned with a 22 karat gold choker by Azva the bride-to-be drew a modern take on traditional design. The medallion in the center, complete with seven rows of intricate handcrafted textures arranged in an altering pattern is flanked by paisley motifs with subtle Kundan detailing. To finish, seven rows of gold beads strung together emerge from either side, making this necklace a true embodiment of Azva’s 7-vows concept. “The jewellery was a perfect blend of ethnic and modern. Every detail bore a deeper meaning making each piece fit for royalty,” said Nikita.
Pooja Khurana left Nikita utterly impressed with the magic she spun, “She was fabulous! It wasn’t just her flair for makeup but also for the kind of warmth with which she treats each of her brides. She gave me a bronzed look with dark lips. I would never have imagined the look would suit me so well. My hair was styled in big loose curls and went well with my entire look.”
This wasn’t Nikita’s first shoot but she rated it at the top of her experiences, “Ramit Batra captured the most flattering angles and knew just what would work for which girl. Through his photographs, he brings out the each person’s personality brilliantly making every individual’s portraits unique.”
Nikita smilingly tells us how she ‘met’ WeddingSutra, “I found WeddingSutra on Instagram and after following the account discovered it was an amazing platform to keep myself updated on the latest wedding trends. One day when I saw they were calling out to brides-to-be in Delhi, I applied and got a chance to be a part of this shoot. This was the best experience I’ve ever had so far and team WeddingSutra was the loveliest!”
Nikita’s Look
Pooja Khurana started off by applying the Lakmé Absolute Skin Natural Mousse – Hydrating in Ivory Cream from the Lakmé Absolute Reinvent Nudes Collection. She set the product using the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact. Moving on to her eyes, she added a touch of glam with the help of the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette – Nude Beach from the Lakmé Absolute Reinvent Nudes Collection. The Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in Black was her trusted tool to add intensity to Nikita’s eyes and using the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Pink Blush she added a healthy glow to her cheeks. At last, she used the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color in Juicy Plum from the Lakmé Absolute Reinvent Nudes Collection to complete this look.
