Palakshi Pal, Delhi
Sporting a red lehenga with modern accents bride Palakshi looked ravishing as she donned Tanishq gold jewellery.
In the third of this three-part series, bride-to-be Palakshi Pal was treated to a gorgeous bridal makeover that involved designer fashion, standout jewelry from Tanishq, and distinctive makeup!
A go-getter who stops at nothing to make her dreams a reality, Palakshi, a designer and a teacher has forged her own way in life since the age of seventeen. Having lived independently for the past seven years, her journey has taken unexpected turns – from a design student to becoming a teacher’s assistant at the very university she was studying in!
Despite spending a substantial chunk of her life abroad where she learnt about contemporary designs, her heart has always had a soft spot for traditional Indian designs. Palakshi shares, “My love affair with jewellery began during my formative years. Like any curious daughter, I used to marvel at my mother’s jewellery collection and eagerly wear them at weddings and events. I clearly remember my 17th birthday when she bought me my first pair of gold earrings from Tanishq, I wore them almost every day! Till today, these pair of earrings are precious to me and look as good as new.”
Poised for her wedding day, Palakshi is keen on expressing, both, her modern design aesthetic as well as classic Indian designs that she has adored since her childhood days. Amplifying her minimalistic red lehenga is stunning gold jewellery from Rivaah that echoes her aesthetic instinct while paying homage to the first role model in her life – her mom. Right from the modern take on the layered rani haar that reminds her of a cherished family heirloom to the studded gold bangles that she remembers her mom proudly wearing on special occasions, these selections were spurred by memories that are close to her heart. Meanwhile, the heavy choker necklace set with its multiple chaandbali-style lockets charmed the interior designer inside her with its symmetrical beauty.
As a fiercely independent individual, her views on marriage are not only equality driven but also emphasise emotions. She shares, “Equality and mutual respect are the cornerstones of marriage. However, I wouldn’t be hesitant to take up that extra bit of load if I see my partner faltering. Switching roles should happen seamlessly.”
To match the detailed and elegant work on her jewellery, she chose a gorgeous red lehenga by Dolly J. Celebrity Makeup Artist GURU – Makeup Art then created a stunning makeup look and styled her hair to match the ensemble perfectly. As Palakshi enjoyed the day packed with stylish experiences, photographer Infinite Memories captured her excitement and the most remarkable moments through their cameras.
