Prachi Patil – Tarun Tahiliani

As part of our initiative ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at Tarun Tahiliani’s couture studio in Colaba, Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, a Makeover and a Photo shoot, each of the participants got to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here in the last of the four-part series, bride-to-be Prachi Patil, blogs about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location.

“I had visited the WeddingSutra Facebook page last year when one of my closest friends was getting married so I knew this would be my go-to guide too, I got engaged recently and since the last few weeks I have been visiting the page almost every day. I was talking about WeddingSutra on Location with Photographer Seema Choubey who photographed my Engagement. She motivated me to write to WeddingSutra and to my pleasant surprise I received an invitation to WeddingSutra on Location.

On the day of the shoot I walked in to the studio with mixed emotions- I was excited yet a little nervous. But as soon as I entered the studio, I saw happy and smiling faces, and my nervousness disappeared. I was first shown the bridal lehenga options, and with Team WeddingSutra’s help I chose a red color bridal lehenga. After which we paired it with a heavy jewellery set.

Next, came the most important thing- my makeup & hairdo. I have long and very straight hair and always thought that styling my hair is just impossible. I told Ojas’s team the same, and they took it up as a challenge to give me a completely different look. As I saw the final result, and Ojas’s finishing touch to my hair and makeup, it was like a miracle! The makeup was classy and subtle and my hair was styled with soft curls, which actually stayed much longer than I expected! Hats off to Ojas and her team!

Finally, it was time to get clicked by Photographer Shreya Sen. I am really moody when it comes to clicking pictures, but Shreya made me feel comfortable and special with her talk and comments which actually made it fun. She showed me some of the pictures, and seeing them motivated me to continue posing.
