WeddingSutra held a Special Edition of its most popular bridal initiative – the WeddingSutra On Location at Four Seasons, Worli to showcase the best in bridal style statements for this wedding season. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and culminating in a professional photo shoot, each participating bride-to-be had the opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal and Wedding services.
In the final of this five-part series, bride-to-be Priyam Prasad tells us about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at the Four Seasons, Mumbai.
“I was delighted when I got to know I’d be one of the brides-to-be for the ‘Grand WeddingSutra on Location’ at the Four Seasons, Worli.
We started with lehenga trials at Ensemble. I tried on a couple of beautiful, elegant lehengas and finally decided to go with one by Tarun Tahiliani. I chose this lehenga for its grandeur – it was a perfect blend of saffron, sunset, coral, carmine and a deep pink. I loved its heavy embroidery and intricate embellishments. It was a pleasure and a privilege to wear an outfit designed by Tarun Tahiliani, one of my all-time favorite designers!
My visit to Smile Essentials was pleasant and beneficial. With a wedding in the offing, Dr. Diksha suggested a few things brides to be can get done – scaling, polishing and bleaching your teeth for the big day. She also gave me tips on oral healthcare and hygiene which everyone, including brides, should follow.
The shoot began around 9 a.m. and Team WeddingSutra were all present, warm and friendly, putting me at ease. The photographers and makeup artists were so communicative and easy to talk to, I was comfortable from word go.
I chose a traditional design in gold from Azva and it just accentuated my look. Beautiful and classic, like flowers that adorn the walkway.
Bel Jane Fonseca worked on my makeup. She corrected and contoured and worked some wonders. She also convinced me to try a coral gold lip, a color I’d never won but it worked perfectly with the outfit. I can’t thank her enough for the magical makeover, I think she made me look gorgeous and beautiful than I really am!
Heena did my hair and she opted for soft curls without extensions which I had no idea was possible with my natural hair. The look was elegant and minimalistic and worked beautifully.
After getting ready, I was thrilled to pose and get some lovely pictures with photographer Arjun Menon. We shot some solos and then a couple of group shots with the other brides. Arjun was so easy to work with and he gave me helpful tips on posing which gave me a lot of confidence in front of the camera. We managed a few great shots and I came away from the shoot thinking it was super candid and easy. I was just so happy with my final look I want to emulate it at my own wedding reception. I looked stunning and felt amazing!
Thanks to the whole team for letting me be a part of this wonderful experience. I felt like a celebrity bride! It’s my wedding month (I’m getting married on the 25th of November) and I feel special and lucky. Thank you again for this one of a kind experience. Only a few lucky brides get this opportunity and I’m so glad I was one of them!
Priyam’s Look
Bel Jane decided on a soft and dewy look to complement the many colors of Priyam’s lehenga. She started with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation as the base for a flawless finish and then dusted her T-zone with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to ward off any oily shine. Keeping with the natural glow, Bel Jane chose the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Gold for a subtle shimmer on her eyelids. She then created a soft smoky eye by lining Priyam’s doe-shaped eyes with Lakmé Absolute Ultimate Kohl finishing with the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volumizing Mascara for a truly smoldering effect. Priyam’s face was dusted with a subtle brush of the Lakmé Absolute Sun-Kissed Bronzer for a warm glow to her face. The final step included a beautiful coral-red on the lip with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Lip Shimmer in Scarlet Magic which completed the final look.
