WeddingSutra On Location invited four brides-to-be to KALKI, in Worli, Mumbai. Kicking off with a Style Consultation, they were treated to a Makeover and their transformation captured for safekeeping in a professional Photo Shoot! Each bride-to-be also had the opportunity to interact with some of the best professionals in Bridal and Wedding services.

Here, in the second of the four-part series, bride-to-be Priyanka Mathur shares her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at KALKI.

“I discovered WeddingSutra almost immediately after the announcement of my wedding date and ever since then, I’ve wanted to be part of WeddingSutra On Location. So I was thrilled when I was selected!

On the day of the shoot, I instantly warmed up to Team WeddingSutra who were already there, ready to make my day special. I was asked to choose between lehengas or gowns. The minute I saw this gown, I whispered to myself, ‘Beautiful!’ I was hesitant at first; I’ve never worn one. But I thought I should try something new and that golden gown made me feel like a princess! It fit perfectly, as if it was tailored for me.

Next it was time for hair and make-up, taken care of by Recinda Martis. I’m a very inquisitive person and was asking questions constantly, all of which were answered in the most cheerful way possible. However, while getting my hair and make-up done, I chose to be quiet and let the expert take charge.

Team WeddingSutra then selected beautiful earrings by Mahesh Notandass, with a very unique design and Tresmode sandals to complete my look. I’d like to compliment them on their excellent taste; I didn’t need to give the look a second thought.

At last, it was time for the photo shoot! Interacting with photographer Dev Purbiya was the most fun part! Although I could not see the pictures, Dev Purbiya’s selection of spots with great sunlight and beautiful backdrops gave me a lot of confidence as I posed and helped him capture perfect shots.

After it all, I realized gowns suit me and I should experiment with different styles. Thank you WeddingSutra for the entire experience and convincing me to explore something new!”

Keeping Priyanka’s dreamy gown in mind, makeup artist Recinda Martis decided to highlight her eyes with a burst of color. She created the base with the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse in Beige Honey and set it with the hydrating formula of Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact in Beige Honey. To highlight the eyes, Recinda used the incredibly smooth wet and dry formula of Lakmé Absolute Drama Stylist Shadow Duos in Pink Wink as the base and added a hint of the Lakmé Absolute Eye Chromatic Baked Shadow in Night Desire to add shimmer and blended them. She used the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line in Black to add more definition. She finished with a few coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara. Recinda then brushed on some Lakmé Absolute Sunkissed Bronzer onto her cheeks. With eyes being the highlight, Recinda kept the lips muted with the Lakmé Absolute Matte Lipcolor in Peach Carnation shade. Finally, her long hair was styled in tight wavy curls for an angelic look.
