Sakshi Sehgal – Gaurav Gupta

As part of our initiative, WeddingSutra On Location, we invited three brides-to-be for a unique experience at Gaurav Gupta’s flagship store in the heritage precinct of Kala Ghoda, South Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and culminating in a professional Photo Shoot, each bride-to-be got an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

In the second of the three-part series, bride-to-be Sakshi Sehgal writes about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at Gaurav Gupta.

“Every girl dreams of being a bride but I got to live my dream much before the actual wedding. I was panicking about my wedding preparations before I discovered the amazing portal that is WeddingSutra. And I was wowed by their WeddingSutra on Location makeovers. I applied for the shoot and was pleasantly surprised when I got a reply from the team.

On the day of the shoot, en route to the Gaurav Gupta store in Fort, I was a bit nervous. But Team WeddingSutra were wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. It was great to meet the people behind my favorite wedding site.

I was given the option to choose from the stunning collection in the store. I decided to wear the gold gown the moment I saw it. It is the perfect modern bridal look. I tried it on and it fit like it had been designed for me. It didn’t even want to try any thing else on.

I was then introduced to Recinda Martis who is the make-up and hairstyling expert. She looked at the dress and decided dramatic make-up would go with my nude-hued gown. She used jet-black eyeliner and a bright red lip shade by Lakme Absolute. She styled my hair in soft curls to complete the ‘Modern Bridal’ look. I accessorized with amazing gold jewellery from Azva.

Then it was time for the much awaited photo shoot by Dev Purbiya. Dev made me feel comfortable and ensured the photographs were beautiful. He kept prompting me to think about the happy times so that he could capture the sparkle in the eyes every bride has. I was very happy with the shoot.

Sakshi’s Look

Makeup artist Recinda Martis built Sakshi’s look by creating a base with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Skin cover Foundation in Beige Honey and set it with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact in Beige Honey. She brought drama to Sakshi’s features with defined winged eyes rendered with Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner in Black. Contoured cheekbones were sculpted with the Lakmé Absolute Moonlit Highlighter. Recinda decided to highlight Sakshi’s lips with a glamorous red, conjuring a dramatic accent to her gown’s subtle tones of beige and gold. The newest Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in Red Rush was chosen from her palette. Finally, Sakshi’s hair was styled with in-out curls and allowed a cascade structured with pins.
