WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative ‘WeddingSutra On Location’ was held at the beautiful Raw Mango store in Colaba, in Mumbai. In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Shweta Wadhare shares her amazing experience at the ‘WeddingSutra On Location’ shoot.
Resplendent in a green silk lehenga from Raw Mango in Mumbai, with makeup by the talented Kajol Paswan using Lakmé Absolute products and wearing antique jewellery by Azva, Shweta’s bridal look was captured by ace photographer Stuti Sakhalkar Dasgupta of The Cheesecake Project.
“I’ve always found the content on WeddingSutra useful, especially now since I’m ready to tie the knot. It’s an all-round database for all things related to weddings! So when my friend suggested I write in about the ‘WeddingSutra on Location’ shoot, I was more than excited to send them an email. I also attended the WeddingSutra Masterclass which was another great experience to connect with the best in the wedding industry.”
“Being comfortable is my priority when it comes to picking an outfit for any occasion. The beautifully designed green silk lehenga made me look royal without compromising on the aspect of comfort. I thought it suited my personality well and paired beautifully with the gorgeous jewellery from Azva. The gorgeous lehenga was paired with an exquisite handcrafted gold seven-row necklace, ‘chandbali’ (moon-shaped) earrings and a beautiful ‘maang tikka’ (head ornament).”
“Then makeup artist Kajol Paswan chose the best products from the Lakmé Absolute range to accentuate my natural features and give me an effervescent glow! For someone who is skeptical about makeup, I was more than comfortable and my experience with Kajol was one of the best throughout the shoot. And then, the photographer, Stuti was so professional and helpful. She was not only patient with all of us, but also really friendly, so much so that we almost forgot that she was shooting us! In all, I want to thank the entire WeddingSutra team for being so warm and welcoming.”
Shweta’s Look
Kajol started with applying the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation that evenly blends into the skin, and set it with the hydrating formula of Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact in Ivory Fair. To highlight the eyes, Kajol used the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in black. She paid special attention to Shweta’s lashes by applying couple of coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara for more definition. She then brushed on a hint of the Lakmé Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blusher in Day Blushes shade on her cheeks for a fresh sun-kissed look. For the lips, Kajol used the Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in Crimson Touch. Finally, her hair was styled in simple curls.
