Surabhi Anand at AZA, Delhi

In the third of three -part series, bride-to-be Surabhi Anand, shares her experience with us on the WeddingSutra on Location.

Surabhi chose an Anushree Reddy lehenga in purple from AZA Delhi which perfectly offset an ornate necklace, bangles and maang tikka set from Azva. Using the finest Lakme Absolute products, makeup artist Pooja Khurana created a soft-focus, matte visage for the bride-to-be with dramatic, smokey eyes to make a statement. WeddingSutra Favorite photographers’ Cupcake Productions captured the three beautiful women at their candid best, rendering a wonderful evening to perfectly framed memories.

“The moment my wedding date was finalized, I was on the WeddingSutra website. I’m an avid follower of their social media pages and dreamed of applying to participate in the WeddingSutra on Location makeover experience. I was really surprised at my selection and I feel lucky to have had this chance!

Team WeddingSutra greeted me so warmly as I arrived at AZA, Delhi. The store is beautiful and I was really excited about choosing a lehenga. There were so many designer lehengas on display but the one that caught my eye and imagination was a purple Anushree Reddy one. I’d wanted to experiment with a bolder color and when I tried it on, I realized the color suited my complexion perfectly.

I thought Team WeddingSutra were invaluable as we looked to select jewellery that would go with my ensemble. We finally zeroed in on a stunning statement necklace, maang tikka, kada and ring from Azva. The jewellery just elevated my entire look!

I rarely wear makeup but I must confess, I was happily surprised by the beautiful work done by Pooja Khurana. She was very patient with me. She gave me stunning purple smoky eyes which matched the color of my lehenga. I was so happy when I looked in the mirror I couldn’t take my eyes off myself!

I’ve always admired work by Cupcake Productions and this was my chance to be featured in their lenses! They really made me feel less conscious and captured candid moments with ease.

Makeup artist Pooja wanted to create a soft-focus matte look for Surabhi. She prepped her skin with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation and also used a gentle brush of the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to even her skin tone. Pooja then bronzed her naturally flawless skin with a generous amount of the Lakme Absolute Sunkissed bronzer on the hollows of her cheekbones for a perfect contour. To add color and a natural glow to her cheeks, she went with the Lakme Absolute Face Stylish Blush Duos in Rose. The main focus of her look was the eyes. For a watercolor effect on the eyes, Pooja used the Lakme Absolute Illuminating Eyeshadow Palette in Royal Persia and created a purple and plum effect that matched the color of her lehenga. To intensify the eye makeup further, she applied generous coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara and lined Surabhi’s waterline with the Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in Black. The Lakme Absolute Illuminating Lip Shimmer in Crimson Blink was the finishing flourish!
