Joining the flurry of Bollywood weddings in 2024, Aaliyah Kashyap, a Digital Content Creator and daughter of renowned Bollywood Director Anurag Kashyap, married long-time beau Shane Gregoire in a chic Mumbai wedding. Hosted across a number of stylish venues in the city, the star-studded festivities were planned, designed, and managed by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Serendipity Co.
The pre-wedding festivities kicked off with a vibrant Haldi ceremony on December 8 at The Club, hosted by Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s family. In a heartwarming Instagram post, Anurag Kashyap shared snaps of Aaliyah and Shane, adorned in turmeric and marigold flowers and surrounded by friends and family, including BFF and actor Khushi Kapoor. Aaliyah shone in a stylish yellow lehenga paired with a pearl-embellished blouse and a dupatta with golden borders, complemented by elegant gold jewelry and a chic half-tied hairstyle, while Shane matched her look in a yellow coat and kurta. The photos were full of life and joy and reflected the couple’s charming bond.
Amidst a backdrop of blooming florals and refreshing citrus notes, Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire hosted a glamorous cocktail party in Estella, Juhu. The couple dazzled in their stylish ensembles, with Aaliyah in a stunning red lehenga adorned with intricate embroidery and Shane in a sleek black sherwani, both radiating elegance as they posed for the cameras. The event had many celebrities in attendance, including Khushi Kapoor, Alaya F, Vedang Raina, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and more, who also brought their fashion A-game, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Anurag Kashyap’s colleague and close friend, Director Imtiaz Ali was also seen at the occasion. Aaliyah captured the essence of the night perfectly, sharing her excitement on Instagram with the caption, “A dreamy Day 2.”
After the Haldi and Cocktail celebrations, the couple hosted their Mehndi ceremony in Torii Mumbai. The lively soiree showcased their love and personalities, decked with cascading red florals, glowing lamps, their favorite pictures, and more. Anurag Kashyap was seen hugging Aaliyah Kashyap and dancing happily at the ceremony, which included her mom Aarti Bajaj, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Imtiaz Ali, and Kalki Koechlin. The couple sported stunning green ensembles and got their hands painted with beautiful henna designs that included their pets, Cosmo and Kai.
Hosted at The Bombay Club, Mahalaxmi on December 11, their wedding was a magical celebration, blending intimate family moments with beautifully crafted decor. Aaliyah looked radiant in a pastel pink lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani. A memorable video captured Aaliyah’s ethereal entrance under an breathtaking ‘phoolon ki chadar’ held by her bridesmaids, all set against the picturesque garden backdrop.
The celebrations continued with a glamorous Reception, attended by Bollywood’s who’s who! With a lush jungle-inspired bar, a buzzing DJ setup, and a vibrant Photo Booth, the night shone as bright as their love. The newlyweds made their appearance in matching black outfits. Aaliyah dazzled in a black skirt and golden corset, while Shane exuded charm in a sleek black suit. Among the attendees were filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, Abhishek Bachchan, his nephew Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Mihir Ahuja, Madhu Mantena, and Ira Trivedi, among others. Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya made their first public appearance as husband and wife, just a few days after their own wedding at Hyderabad.
