Anushka and Abhishek’s majestic two-day palace wedding was a beautiful mélange of royalty and splendor

The beautiful Anushka Rajan, (daughter of Gammon India prodigy Abhijit Rajan) married her handsome beau, real estate scion Abhishek Doshi in the presence of close Bollywood pals and family at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi.
Welcome Party
A flurry of Rio Carnival style dancers and an energetic salsa band welcomed guests who were immediately plunged into the revelry with the foot tapping music and live jam sessions.
Sangeet
The sangeet ceremony was hosted al fresco, in the beautiful scenery of the Emirates Palace garden with its breathtaking views of the beach. This was followed by a ‘Miami meets Havana’ themed party, where the entire outdoors was decorated with fresh flowers and fruit. There were flamingo installations, floating neon lights and an illuminated dining area creating a grand, vibrant ambiance. As family and friends performed, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan kept up with some excellent dancing to international and desi beats.
Anushka wore a pastel lehenga with an on-trend off-shoulder fringe top and a choker necklace to bring on the night!
Wedding
The wedding was a stylish event attended by the who’s who of the film and industrial fraternity. Some of the family’s guests included Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Anil Agarwal, Tina Ambani, Bijal and Hetal Meswani, Anand Jain, Praful and Varsha Patel, Pinky and Sanjay Reddy, Ashok and Harsha Hinduja, Sajjan and Sangita Jindal, Tanvi and Krishna Shete, Parth and Anushree Jindal, Amit Bhosale and Athiya Shetty. The wedding itself was hosted on the hotel’s terrace which overlooks the azure waters of the Abu Dhabi beach.
The mandap was festooned with hundreds of beautiful red and white roses turning it into a piece of art. The white and ivory theme of the wedding decor was an aesthetic mix of traditional and contemporary.
Anushka chose a gorgeous creation by master craftsman and bridal favorite Sabyasachi Mukherjee in dull gold and pink, the lehenga choli accessorized with delicate heirloom jewellery.
Reception and Cocktail Party
Guests were treated to a live orchestra and a performance from the legendary Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan himself! Later, the evening evolved into a sophisticated cocktail party where the décor remained inspired by the couple’s fairytale romance. Every space, from the palace to the center stage was illuminated in golden light to bring magic to the evening. Anushka stepped out in Disney Princess style in a gorgeous icy blue gown with balloon shoulders by designer Ziad Nakad.
