Musicians Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton of “The Voice” fame set Instagram a-buzz with pics of their intimate home wedding at Blake Shelton’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on 3rd July 2021. Stefani took to Instagram to share her nuptial bliss with a series of romantic shots of the couple standing on a cliff, driving in a golf cart, cutting a 5-tier cake and sharing their first dance, saying, “Dreams do come true. Blake Shelton, I love you”.
The cosy wedding of just about 40 guests included the couple’s close friends and family and was held in a chapel that Shelton got made on his ranch, especially for the occasion. Carson Daly, the host of The Voice and a very dear friend of the couple, officiated the wedding which made it all the more special. From the festivities to their outfits, everything was imbued with the couple’s unique style and personality. Stefani’s three sons were a big part of the wedding and were included and honoured in a number of ways. The couple was the portrait of love as they cut their stunning cake and shared a kiss during their first dance against a lavish, candlelit backdrop.
The 51-year-old musician donned two different bespoke Vera Wang couture dresses for the ceremony and the after-party. Going for a classic bridal moment with an updo and bright red lips, her lily-white georgette ceremony gown featured a plunging sweetheart neckline, hand tumbled tulle skirt, and a chapel length veil hand-embroidered with the names of the couple, Gwen and Blake, and their kids Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. For the party, she channeled some rockstar style in a lily-white silk-crepe and tulle strapless mini dress with crystal and sequin embellishments, including hand-sewn love birds and baby birds representing the couple and their children. A short tulle veil with soft pink flower detailing, as well as Le Silla crystal-embellished cowboy boots added a twist to the look. Shelton on the other hand kept it classic but fun with a black tuxedo that he teamed with a pair of jeans that gave his look a country feel.
The couple, who have collaborated on a number of hit songs like “Happy Anywhere,” “Nobody but You,” and “You Make Me Feel Like Christmas”, met and fell in love on the sets of “The Voice” in 2015, of which they are both judges. The couple announced their engagement on social media 8 months ago in October 2020.
