The most awaited Bollywood wedding of 2021 has finally taken place! The newly restored 700-year old Fort Resort is said to have luxurious suites starting from Rs.75000 a day, was all set to host Katrina and Vicky’s glorious revelries, orchestrated by Katrina’s trusted manager Reshma Shetty and planned by a sought-after team of celebrity wedding vendors that included Wedding Planners Shaadi Squad and Wedding Decorators Rani Pink amongst others. Additionally, their pastel-themed wedding invite also sent fans into a frenzy with its elegance. Sent to 120 of their guests welcoming them for the three-day extravaganza, this invite featured floral borders with the couple’s names embossed in gold in the middle. And, since Katrina has a soft spot for everything rustic, the invites were packaged in an earthy brown paper tied up with an elegant white ribbon.
Pictures and videos on social media showed the couple and their guests looking dapper as they arrived at the resort. The stunning bride looked radiant in a yellow Anamika Khanna outfit as she was snapped leaving for the venue. The guests arrived in style at the elusive venue with a grand royal welcome of dance and fireworks. On arrival, the guests were greeted by a luxurious hamper with a special note attached by the planners on the ‘do’s and don’ts’ at the festivities. With a strict no-no on cellphones and social media usage, the couple’s wish to keep the celebration under wraps was aptly expressed. However, a few snippets managed to surface online with a video of the grand firework display over the venue and the melodious musical welcome the guests received on arrival.
Held outdoors under a canopy of crisscrossing fairy lights, the mehndi festivities kicked off the celebrations on a high. Snaps from the festivities show the beautiful couple laughing and dancing with their loved ones. Katrina radiated joy in a multi-colored Matka silk Sabysaschi lehenga with a patchwork blouse and an embroidered tulle dupatta inspired by the designer’s Kashgaar Bazaar collection. Vicky dressed in an embroidered raw silk bandhgala jacket and a mint silk kurta looked every bit the peppy groom.
The Haldi ceremony saw a charming pastel extravaganza, as the couple let loose and had a gala time with their guests. From dousing Vicky with buckets of water to showering the happy couple with rose petals and even adorable shots of the couple applying Haldi to each other, shots from the ceremony were laced with emotions and infinite fun. Katrina glowed in a Sabyasachi ivory organdy lehenga while Vicky wore a Sabyasachi embroidered khadi kurta and salwar.
For her sundowner, Katrina chose to pay homage to her mother’s British roots with a vintage-inspired couture sari with a trailing veil. Resembling a white wedding gown with its fitted silhouette, the delicate pastel-hued tulle saree was embroidered with hand-cut English flowers and studded with semi-precious gems and crystals. Accessorising this look was a statement choker necklace and matching earrings encrusted with uncut diamonds, opals, and emerald. Staying in sync with the color palette chosen by Katrina, Vicky donned a light beige silk embroidered sherwani with a churidar.

The couple tied the knot under the Rajasthani sun and had a romantic exchange of varmalas. Katrina was all smiles looking resplendent in a classic Sabyasachi Mukherjee red lehenga meticulously crafted in handwoven matka silk, sporting a veil that was trimmed with handmade kiran as an homage to Vicky’s Punjabi roots. Her beautiful bridal entry is one to remember with her sisters, who she calls her pillars of strength, all dressed in baby pink outfits, walking her down the aisle under a mogra and baby’s breath laden phoolon ki chaadar. Vicky, dressed in an off white embroidered Sabyasachi sherwani, chivalrously bowed down for his bride to receive a garland crafted out of mogras. Taking their pheras hand in hand, the couple was witnessed smiling throughout the wedding ceremony.

Top B-town stars were not present at the celebrations as this was an intimate family and close friends affair. All the family members from both sides were hosted at the wedding venue, while some guests including designer Sabyasachi were put in Raj Vilas or Amanbagh in Jaipur. The wedding crews stayed at the Vivanta property in Sawai Madhopur.
In a world overrun by Social Media, the Bollywood couple surprisingly managed to keep their relationship under wraps, a feat nothing less than remarkable. With only speculations of the “when”, “where” and “how long” in the air, and not even a single photo of the couple actually together, their fans all over the country were wrought with anticipation for the wedding moments of their favorite stars, to finally get a glimpse of their love!
