With rainbow colors and quirky decor, this couple's tropical-themed mehndi was a visual delight.
Telugu actor Nithiin Reddy tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Shalini Kandukuri on July 16, 2020, in an intimate ceremony attended by their closest family and friends. The five-day celebrations were planned and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Minttu Sarna and embodied the couple’s unique personalities.
The actor, who was originally set to marry in Dubai on April 12, postponed his wedding due to the COVID-19 lockdown. He decided to host the various festivities in Hyderabad, and opted for venues such as his private farmhouse and the Taj Falaknuma Palace.
The festivities started with a ring ceremony on July 22. Hosted in the backyard of Nithiin’s farmhouse, the event’s theme was inspired by artist Raja Ravi Verma and was full of regal nuances. Nithiin wore an elegant cream kurta for this occasion, while Shalini opted for a rich red saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Their mehndi function was a vibrant affair with rainbow hues. Minttu Sarna lent an exotic,alluring look and feel to the event with bold prints, colorful and fruits and quirky props. Lush foliage of tropical greens such as palms and monstera leaves adorned every surface in the form of real plants as well as prints on walls and floors.The groom looked dapper in an electric blue ensemble, and the bride impressed all in her red Shantanu & Nikhil outfit.
The final day dawned with a traditional Haldi function, for which Shalini looked every bit the blushing bride in a soft mauve silk saree, temple jewellery and a long, striking braid with gajra woven into her hair.
The big day was hosted at the Durbar Hall of the Taj Falaknuma Palace. The wedding ceremony had a very exclusive guest list, and the illustrious gathering was mesmerized by the fusion floral fantasy theme conceptualised by the team of Minttu Sarna, in hues of pink and mauve. The groom wore a stunning red sherwani, and the bride complimented him in her cream and red silk saree which she paired with exquisite jewellery. Hyderabad-based makeup artist Tamanna Rooz gave the bride a warm, glowing visage with bronze smokey eyes and striking red lips.
Son of acclaimed producer Sudhakar Reddy, Nithiin has made his mark in the Telugu Film industry and is best known for hits like ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ and ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam,’ among others. He and Shalini were in a relationship for eight years before they decided to tie the knot.
