Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru’s Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha was a deeply spiritual and serene experience.
Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru got married on 1st December 2025, choosing an intimate and spiritually anchored wedding at the Linga Bhairavi Devi temple at the Isha Yoga Centre. They opted for the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha, an ancient yogic form of vivaha where the union of two people is consecrated not just emotionally or socially, but on an elemental and energetic plane.
Unlike traditional weddings that centre around social rituals, Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha is designed to purify and align the five fundamental elements, that is, earth, water, fire, air and space, within and between the couple. It is a ceremony that dissolves boundaries and brings two people into a deeper union. The ceremony is not limited to first-time marriages; couples often also choose it as a vow renewal, drawn to its depth and purity.
The atmosphere at the temple was serene. Brass lamps adorned with trails of jasmine and white buds glowed softly. Rows of handcrafted garlands in ivory, deep crimson, and soft pink hues created an aesthetic that was both traditional and quietly luxurious. Copper vessels filled with turmeric, kumkum, grains, herbs, and flowers formed a harmonious palette, each element symbolising grounding, vitality, abundance, and purity. Traditional urlis with floating blooms, rustic pots, wooden textures, and hand-tied floral strings echoed the earthy elegance that was in tandem with the spiritual ceremony.
Samantha looked radiant in a classic red saree woven with understated gold motifs paired with a matching high-neck blouse. Her hair was neatly tied in a bun adorned with fragrant white blooms. Her jewellery looked stunning with a choker, multiple gold rings and kada bangles adorning her. Raj complemented her in an elegant ivory kurta paired with a rich golden jacket.
