Pop star Selena Gomez is hitched to music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco, and their wedding was nothing short of a modern fairytale. Their story began years ago in the recording studio, with Benny producing some of Selena’s most beloved tracks, and slowly grew into a partnership that had fans speculating. And, by December 2024, Benny proposed with a striking marquise-cut diamond ring!
Nestled in the lush, coastal charm of Santa Barbara, the duo exchanged vows before 170 guests, including close friends pop star Taylor Swift, singer Ed Sheeran, actors Steve Martin, and Paul Rudd. Musician Mark Ronson, on the other hand, also doubled up as the DJ later in the evening!
The ceremony was hosted at Sea Crest Nursery, and the decor consisted of florals spilling across Persian rugs, velvet accents, and warm lighting that exuded warmth. Selena’s bridal look became the centrepiece of the day, a custom Ralph Lauren gown adorned with 300 hand-applied lace flowers, crystal embellishments, and a secret heart motif embroidered with the couple’s initials and wedding date. She later slipped into an array of ensembles, a halter silk satin gown, a short reception dress, and a vintage-inspired off-shoulder midi, each one echoing her flair for timeless glamour. Benny complemented her elegance in custom Ralph Lauren tuxedos and a shawl-collar vest, accessorised with a diamond watch and a tennis bracelet. His wedding band, engraved with their date and inlaid with rubies and aquamarines, carried their birthstones, a discreet but deeply symbolic gesture.
The ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, with vows that left many teary-eyed. In a moment that defied convention, the couple shared their first dance barefoot, a gesture of spontaneity that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of their celebration. Guests dined on a menu curated by Nobu and indulged in an ice-cream sundae bar, a reflection of the couple’s choice to prioritise joy and comfort over formality.
