Bollywood actress Sonnalli Seygall tied the knot with F&B entrepreneur Ashesh L Sajnani in a series of close-knit celebrations hosted in Mumbai. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Tailormade Experiences, this wedding was a perfect combination of desi vibrance, elegance and glamour!
How They Met
Sonnalli and Ashesh first met via a mutual friend and hit it off! And, after many years of dating, the couple finally tied the knot.

Hence, they eschewed the usual grand wedding and chose a more intimate setting where they could thoroughly focus on everyone while having fun!”

Mehndi
Zashank shares, “The celebrations were kickstarted with an intimate mehendi ceremony where the couple entered hand-in-hand to the beats of the Punjabi dhol. The event was filled with small and interesting favours for all the guests, like, gajras and bangles. Fun activities like an instant photo station were also curated for the guests where they had plenty of fun clicking selfies.”
Anand Karaj
Keen on keeping it simple and serene, the couple’s Anand Karaj was swathed in shades of white and pink. Shashank shares, “The groom entered in style in his vintage car with friends and family dancing on a traditional brass band. Sonnalli entered in a traditional way under a phoolon ki chaadar held by her close friends which included Bollywood director Luv Ranjan. Everyone was in awe of the bridal entry where she entered the venue with her bridesmaids, with her pet dog by her side.
The couple wanted their wedding to reflect their simplistic personality and wanted the whole experience to be a fulfilling one for both families. Hence, they decided to tie the knot in a simple Anand Karaj ceremony held at a Mumbai Gurudwara. Keeping in mind the couple’s outfit, the décor was planned in shades of white and pastel pink. The event was attended by various close friends of the couple from the industry including actors Kartik Aryan, Sunny Singh and Satyajeet Dubey amongst others.”
Reception
Zashank Bhatia and Shashank Gupta share, “The couple hosted a post-wedding bash for their friends at Gallops, Mumbai. The décor was done tastefully in shades of whites and greens. The event was attended by various Bollywood celebrities including Rajkumar Rao, Patralekha and Nushrratt Bharuccha. The highlight of the event was when the couple entered together along with their pet dogs, Cookie and Shamsher, who looked adorable in their matching tuxedos.
The evening was made special for the couple by their friends who performed a scripted dance act as a surprise. Actors Sunny Singh, Poppy Jabbal, Sahil Salathia and Laxmi Rai were a part of this performance. Other celebrities like Ravi Dubey, Karan Grover, and Aditya Seal also attended the celebrations.”
