Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot with his girlfriend, YouTuber Dhanashree Verma, in an intimate ceremony at Gurugram on Tuesday, December 22nd. The spinner, who recently returned to the homestead after India’s series against Australia, took to social media to share his bliss with a post that read, “22.12.20 We started at “Once Upon a Time” and found “Our Happily Ever After”, coz’ finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity and beyond!” Decorated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Design HQ, the union enchanted the senses with its variety of colors and new-age elements that were in sync with the couple’s tastes!
The festivities kicked off with an engagement ceremony with enchanting spring decor. The pastel palette for the day event incorporated mesmerizing blooms in hues of pink lit up with the sparkle of crystals. The couple looked divine in intricately embellished matching attires of cream and ivory by Tarun Tahiliani.
The vibrant haldi saw sunny decor of marigolds, a whole lot of fun and enjoyment. The couple looked sunkissed in bright yellow ensembles, livened even more with pops of blue. The bride teamed the look with a pretty boho braid and floral jewellery.
For the wedding, the couple looked enchanting in coordinated ensembles by designer Tarun Tahiliani, with Chahal donning an intricate ivory sherwani and Dhanashree opting for the quintessential bridal red. The wedding ceremony saw a gorgeous décor of ivory and red, replete with roses and crystals, and was attended by a host of notable guests, including Piyush Sachdeva, Rohit Reddy and several member of the Indian Cricket team. Wedding wishes from a number of people poured in on social media, including Cricket veterans Wasim Jaffer, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh among others.
A congratulatory post by fellow Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan gave a glimpse of their glamorous reception revelries, for which Chahal donned a tuxedo and Dhanashree wore a blush pink embellished lehenga.
The couple, who had been dating for a while, had announced their engagement in August this year before IPL 2020. Dhanashree is a Mumbai based Choreographer, Youtuber and Dentist, and even owns her own dance company called Dhanashree Verma Company.
