From being longtime partners to lifetime companions, American actor of Indian origin, Devika Bhise entered the doubles club with Nicholas Gilson, a snowboard and ski developer. The lovebirds tied the knot at the palatial property of The Leela Palace, Udaipur located by the tranquil Lake Pichola.
The first of many functions was the welcome party hosted on Valentine’s Day. They had their friends gathered from every corner of the globe in India. The couple entered the venue holding hands and were welcomed by their close friends holding pyrotechnics which made for a dreamy couple entry. She looked stunning in a bloom jumpsuit covered in vibrant floral motifs which she paired with a multi-coloured choker. For her makeup, she kept her base minimal and added oodles of mascara to her lashes.
Devika celebrated a bazaar themed mehndi function decorated with tiny stalls with lip-smacking street food, colorful bangles, printed shawls and palm readers/astrologer. A camel and tuk-tuk ride added a fun twist for all her American guests. She stole the limelight wearing a stunning piece by Tarun Tahiliani, and Mickey Contractor gave her that bridal glow with lots of highlighter and a pop of brown on her lips.
The bridal squad made their way to the stage on her Sangeet function and showed off some dance moves on hit numbers like Radha, Get Ur Freak On, and Wannabe. The bride donned a bottle-green sequinned lehenga from Tarun Tahiliani for the sangeet.
The duo entered wedlock in both traditional Indian and white wedding ceremonies. On their Western Wedding day, they cut the cake with a 300-year-old ceremonial sword. Devika looked nothing less than a princess gliding down the aisle in a white corset Oscar de la Renta gown.
On their Maharashtrian wedding day, the bride entered the venue with her baraat dancing on Beyoncé and CHVRCHES songs on a boat that sailed around Lake Pichola. She opted for an ombre pink and green pearl saree with a pearl mesh veil custom-designed by Tarun Tahiliani.
She took to Instagram and shared a beautiful picture of them with the caption, “Putting the magical blur of the past week into words seems impossible. Aside from the feeling that comes from tying the knot with the love of my life, Nicholas Gilson, having all of our nearest and dearest friends and family gathered together for this celebration is overwhelmingly special…”
