Dia Mirza
Dia Mirza got hitched to Vaibhav Rekhi in a quiet celebration. A female priest performed the wedding ceremony.
Married to: Vaibhav Rekhi
Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi tied the knot in an intimate celebration in the garden of her apartment complex (Belair Apartments) in Bandra (West), Mumbai. The guest list was less than 60 and the newlyweds along with her interior designer mother Deepa Mirza played host to the close circle of family and friends. Nestled in one of Mumbai’s posh neighborhoods, i.e., Bandra, the former beauty queen’s abode is carefully designed keeping her affinity for the environment in mind. Featuring wooden floors, bird feeders, vast windows that give a clear view of the greenery, and comfy corners where one can lounge for hours.
According to an insider, Dia Mirza wanted the wedding to be a hush-hush affair and the original plan was to share the news on her engagement/ marriage after the wedding only. All the wedding vendors – from her designer, makeup artist, wedding planner to the caterers were tight-lipped about the whole affair. But one of the guests, according to the insider shared the information with a daily publication after which the news spread rapidly. Till the last minute, Dia and her PR machinery were deliberating whether to step out for a photo op outside her home or to release the photos on her Instagram page.
Interestingly, Dia’s Wedding Planners- Divinity Weddings were the same team who managed her first wedding which was a grand affair in Delhi. Run by Natasha Katgara Gocal and Amrita Bhanji, Divinity Weddings specialize in Destination Wedding Management and elegant home weddings. The decor was designed by young wedding designer Aashna Singh Saran of Aash Studio.

The wedding kicked off with an intimate Haldi soiree for which the star looked dewy and radiant in a sunny yellow palazzo set by Nafisa Rachel William, minimal makeup, wavy tresses and floral jewelry.
What’s special about Dia’s intimate wedding decor is that the couple opted for a beautiful open mandap amidst a garden setup with loads of rajnigandha and jasmine flowers. With elements like brass metal and glass, the wedding was themed around an ‘Indian Garden’ with a minimalistic approach. After the traditional ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out for a photo op for the huge number of media photographers who were patiently waiting for hours. Dia looked resplendent in a red Banarasi saree by Raw Mango which she accessorised with a red dupatta, maang tika and heavy gold necklace. She smiled and posed for the photographers and distributed sweets to them. After the couple stepped back into their lawns the celebrations continued with dinner and dance till the time limit (Mumbai outdoors) of 10 pm.
