Hilary Swank
Hilary Swank’s Redwood Wedding Brings to Life A Fairytale!
Married to: Philip Schneider
On: 18th August 2018
While we were swooning over our Desi Girl’s engagement, one of Hollywood’s beauty secretly tied the knot! The ‘Million Dollar Baby’ star married entrepreneur Philip Schneider at the Saint Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California on 18th August, 2018. Yes, the beauty we’re talking about is none other than Hilary Swank!
The nature lover couple knew their dream wedding included the charm and aroma of Earth’s bounty. With Swank’s father not being able to fly (due to his lung transplant), the couple found a location close to home.
Their picture-perfect wedding was diligently planned by Allison weddings and featuring a remarkable sketch of the redwoods, their invitations were designed by Emily Asher of the Emily Rose Ink. While the groom stood looking dapper beside his best man, his father, words cannot do justice to Hilary’s look! As she walked down the leave-strewn aisle to the tunes of ‘Two Sunsets’, we’re sure her now husband had a hard time stabilizing his breath!
Adorned with beaded floral embroidery and delicate chantilly lace her Elie Saab gown truly added to the ethereal setting of their wedding. The masterpiece which turned heads her way took 150 hours to create, of which 70 hours were spent only on the embroidery.
Among many special performances by family and friends, the wedding also saw actor Misha Collins doing a reading of a poem he wrote for the couple. After exchanging rings and sharing personal vows under the roof a clear sky, the newly married couple walked hand-in-hand towards their romantically lit reception in a rustic 100 year old barn.
While the decor was kept simple with globe string lights and flickering candles, the gluten-free and vegan chocolate cake was FedEx’ed from Mexico! The dainty floral arrangements by florist Christine Cater oozed an understated elegance. With countless delicacies offered for the guests, the night saw some hysterical speeches and rounds of cheers.
The newlyweds had a surprise for their guests too! They slipped into customized costumes by Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior before their special tap dance number, the shoes for which were specially crafted by Christian Louboutin. Was that end of the night? Definitely no! The merrymaking continued on the tunes of The Big Butter Jazz Band. Leading into the wee hours of morning, the function even transformed into an impromptu after party with wireless headphones to dance to for all!
This simple, low-key wedding has definitely become one of our top favourites, we wish the couple a happily ever after!
