It was love at first sight for DJ Kanwaljeet Saluja who convinced his friend to play cupid between him and Priya. Soon, the two were inseparable, and even got married within a week of knowing each other!
Since this was a close-knit Sikh wedding the media glare, the festivities kicked off with an intimate mehndi and haldi ceremony at Kanwaljeet’s hometown in Raipur. After much fanfare, the duo proceeded to a gurudwara for a traditional Sikh wedding.
Priya looked beautiful in a bright yellow lehenga featuring gold-thread embroidery and a pink hem. Her gold blouse and dual pink net dupattas added a further festive touch to the ensemble. One pretty pink net dupatta was draped over her head, while the other was placed sash-style across the front. Her jewellery included a regal ‘matha patti’ and ‘maang tikka’ (forehead ornaments), alongside a green multi-strand emerald necklace and chunky choker with matching earrings. The bright red of her ‘chooda’ (bridal bracelets) added a further pop of color to her look. Kanwaljit wore a rich sherwani jacket with white trousers and a pink ‘safa’ (turban) that matched Priya’s dupattas. Given her years of experience in the TV industry, Priya was sure of the makeup she wanted. She exuded a natural glow at her day wedding, and looked every inch a star. For her reception and ‘bidaai’ (farewell ritual for bride) outfit, she donned a pretty red salwar suit and gold jewellery which was especially gifted to her by her mother-in-law.
