The much-awaited union of actress Rakul Preet Singh and actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani had the netizens swooning! Hosted on the shores of Goa at the luxurious beach resort ITC Grand Goa, the wedding was a star-studded one where the bride made a fashion statement at every event!
Haldi
Eschewing the usual yellow hue, Rakul went for a bright purple hue! The choli beaded with Swarovski stones shone bright under the sun while the sequinned lehenga with its quirky jungle print made a bold statement! On the jewellery front, the bride kept it simple with large grey floral danglers and matching hathphool. Finishing off the look were custom baby pink sneakers.
Mehndi
Expressing her Punjabi heritage, Rakul’s mehndi outfit was a thoughtful nod to her roots. Punjab’s celebrated phulkari patterns graced her toasted orange and pink ensemble. The elaborate hand-embroidered cape, complemented by a corset blouse and a pleated skirt blended traditions with a modern silhouette.
Sangeet
Glamour was at an all-time high as Rakul donned an ethereal ivory lehenga to shake a leg at her sangeet. Accented with silver hues, the ensemble was adorned with Swarovski stones, crystals, sequins, beads, and silver acrylic flowers each having pearl tassel details. The full-sleeved choli, tulle shoulder cape with floral patterns gave the actress a dreamy look.
Anand Karaj
Soft ivory and gold tones dominated the color palette at the Anand Karaj. Rakul looked stunning in a chikankari lehenga with mirrorwork details. The choli with its puffy sleeves was also embellished similarly while the scalloped silk tissue georgette veil swayed to the salty sea breeze. On the makeup front, Rakul kept it minimal while her jewellery featured polki and emerald drop stones.
Wedding
After the morning Anand Karaj ceremony, the couple had a sundowner phera ceremony where Rakul chose a full-sleeved lehenga replete with embellished details. The pale peachy salmon colour looked right at home with the dramatic sunset in the background as Rakul made her way down the aisle. Sequinned floral details, a tulle drape dupatta, a long tulle veil and bold polki jewellery made jaws drop!
