Actress Yami Gautam who’s best known for her roles in blockbusters like Vicky Donor and Bala recently tied the knot with filmmaker Aditya Dhar, the director of Uri: The Surgical Strike, in a simple, intimate and traditional ceremony. Hailing from Himachal Pradesh, Yami chose her picturesque home state to host her wedding surrounded by snow capped mountains and immediate family. Taking her fans by surprise and sending them into a frenzy, Yami posted the pictures of her wedding on social media where her comments section was filled with congratulatory messages.
Kicking off the celebrations with a cheerful mehndi, the radiant bride kept herself comfy in a bright orange salwar suit set which she paired with gold statement earrings.
As for her haldi, Yami again favored a traditional color palette with a yellow kurta paired with a silver embroidered maroon dupatta.
Keeping it fresh and simple for her chooda ceremony, she donned a minimally embellished red saree and accessorized it with a stunning nath crafted out of pearls.
However, the actress pulled all the stops for her big day where she looked absolutely stunning in a dark red zari work saree. Accessorizing the look with a magnificent maang tikka, chaandbali jhumkas, tehri nath, red chooda, a gold choker necklace and a long gold necklace, Yami looked like the quintessential Himachali bride as she sat under a mandap decorated with banana leaves and marigolds. Aditya, on the other hand, contrasted his bride in a white sherwani with silver thread work.
