Stefani, the peroxide-blonde, bindi-sporting pop star who became a sex symbol fronting the group No Doubt, met Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale backstage at a concert in December 1995. After six years, Gavin finally decided to pop the question in England on New Year’s Day 2002. According to him, “I asked her on New Year’s Day at around 3 p.m., when I woke up. It was always gonna happen.” They swapped vows in September 2002 at St. Paul’s Church in London’s posh Covent Garden.

Similar to her funky fashion sense, Gwen sports a diamond studded white-gold engagement ring, which was designed by her fiancÃÆ’© and bought in Amsterdam. This die-hard romantic purchased matching tighter-fitting diamond eternity wedding band (to hold the engagement ring) when she realized she would have to part with her engagement ring when getting it resized. She wanted to make sure she always had something on her ring finger.
