Sukhi and Marc, Singapore
From a white Christian wedding to a Sikh nuptial ceremony in a gurudwara, Marc and Sukhi's wedding video shot by Dotdusk Studios was a lovely tribute to this multicultural union
The modern landscapes of buzzing Singapore form the backdrop for Marc and Sukhi’s evocative wedding video that showcases two cultures coming together to celebrate their union
Sukhi and Marc’s wedding film starts with a beautiful view of the Singapore skyline and shows the couple walking down to the Singapore River dotted with quaint bumboats. The first few scenes of the film showcase the gentle moments and loving embraces between the couple, before the scene shifts to a beautiful white wedding.
Sukhi exchanges emotional vows with Marc as their loved ones smile from the green lawns watching the couple wed under a white canopy. Sukhi’s beautiful white wedding gown looks stunning as she walks down the aisle with Marc in a cloud of glittery confetti.
The cross-cultural festivities then capture a typical haldi ceremony where the couple are fondly messed up by their friends. A sombre Gurudwara wedding follows which sees Marc don a sherwani and Sukhi, a beautiful lehenga.
The scene then shifts to the rousing reception where their multicultural guests shake a leg to the thumping music. The ‘bidaai’ (farewell) follows in a short glimpse after as a teary Sukhi bids adieu to her family and drives off in a car.
This wedding video focuses more on visuals than speech or interviews, but the location of the wedding – Singapore speaks volumes as it stands as a symbol of diversity that epitomizes this wedding.
