Aanchal and Raghav, UAE
From Arabic Zaffa dancers to Tanoura performances, a fire show & levitation artists, this wedding scored an A+ for entertainment.
Aanchal and Raghav’s wedding included functions with themes and decor inspired by Indian, Arabic, and Mexican cultures. The heady festivities were planned and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – VV Weddings, and all the beautiful moments were transformed into lasting memories by WeddingSutra Favorite – WeddingNama. Take a peek into some of the highlights below.
Wedding Planning
The beautiful festivities were designed and executed by the team of VV Weddings, with each function having a distinctive theme. Despite the unforeseen weather challenges that caused immense last minute logistical changes, they pulled off every single function with perfection, giving Aanchal and Raghav their dream wedding. The photography team of WeddingNama captured every special moment in candid frames.
Wedding Functions
Bhaat
The festivities kicked off with the Padharo Sa (Welcome) Bhaat Lunch. Vibrant decor setups with draped canopies, bright embroidered umbrellas, elephant figurines, dreamcatchers and exotic blooms in white, blue and pink hues created a picture-perfect ambience. Guests enjoyed the music of Hiral Kamani and were mesmerized when the bride made an entrance in her floral ensemble.
Arabian Nights
The welcome lunch was followed by the decadent ‘Arabian Nights’ themed evening that featured rousing entertainment and alluring golden decor, bathed in red light. The guests were mesmerized by Brazilian belly dancers and Arabic Zaffa dancers, LED tannouras, a fire show, levitation artists, falcon guy, and much more. The bride dazzled in a lavender Amit Aggarwal lehenga, while the groom stunned in an ink blue sherwani by Shantanu & Nikhil for this function.
Mexican Fiesta
The next morning saw a ‘Mexican Fiesta’ themed pool party which was a hit with the younger guests. The colorful decor, floral arrangements, and umbrellas created a lively vibe and almost everyone jumped into the pool. Quirky signage, Mexican outfits, a busy bar, dramatic entries, fun games and talented entertainers added to the charm of the event. Meanwhile, the older crowd had a blast with a ‘Funtakshri’ and played games, sang and enjoyed a throwback to the magic of retro Bollywood.
Sangeet
‘The Night of Stars’ was the theme of the sangeet, and guests were their glamorous selves at this event. The evening saw stunning decor comprising twinkling lights, teepees, white furniture and props, all of which glowed with striking blue light. Rousing music, heady dances by the couple and their loved ones, and a showstopping performance by Sukhbir had everyone dancing into the night.
Vintage Lunch
This informal ‘Vintage Lunch’ gave guests a small break from partying. The entire event was a tranquil affair thanks to the soothing music, entertainment and regal retro decor elements.
Wedding
In a fitting conclusion to the festivities, the wedding ceremony was a grand celebration. Royal red decor with antique chandeliers, a magical mandap, and an abundance of flowers made for a magic setup. The Vedic chants of Hiral Kamani cast a serene and auspicious ambience as the couple tied the knot.
