Wedding Planning
What began as a vision slowly forming took shape through a planning journey that was thoughtful and personal. Looking back, Vedika Singhal of Ferris Wheel Diaries shares, “Aashna and Aditya approached us in March with ideas and wishes waiting to be brought together. From our very first conversation, it was clear that they wanted an intimate destination wedding with their closest family and friends. Planning their wedding became a steady and emotional ride filled with anticipation, gentle pauses, and moments that stayed with us.” The planning process began nine months earlier with a venue search across Delhi NCR and Uttarakhand. Vedika adds, “We visited several properties before finding the right match at Namah Resort in Jim Corbett. It felt intimate, grounded, and aligned with what the couple had envisioned. It immediately gave us a sense of belonging for their celebration.” The team then shaped a three-day itinerary that allowed each event to unfold at a comfortable pace, giving everyone space to be present without feeling rushed.

On the design front, Dakshita Bhatla of DB and Spaces reflects the couple’s intent with clarity. “They wanted the wedding to remain intimate and connected to nature. Nothing was meant to feel forced or overwhelming. Their brief focused on keeping everything honest, subtle, and in sync with the surroundings.” She explains, “The cocktail took on a contemporary purple mood, the haldi and mehendi explored reds with florals and fruits, the Tulu wedding ceremony carried the calm presence of rajnigandhas and mogras, and the evening wedding was created to blend naturally with the landscape. The couple requested no large structures and preferred design that felt simple and true to them.”

Wedding Functions
Cocktail Night
The celebrations opened with an evening meant for guests to relax and ease into the festivities. The design featured a palette of deep purple and green that created a contemporary atmosphere. The greens came through foliage that echoed the forested surroundings, while the purple introduced a refined contrast that suited the evening setting.

Mehendi and Haldi
Day Two unfolded as a relaxed daytime gathering filled with colour and an easy, playful energy. Moving away from traditional shades of yellow and orange, the couple chose reds, sunflowers, marigolds, and warm rusty tones that offered depth while still feeling fresh. Selecting the venue for this event became a key part of the creative process. The layout was designed with small pockets and corners that guests could discover as they moved through the venue. The atmosphere felt inviting and warm, creating room for conversations, games, and an unhurried afternoon.

Wedding
The final day honoured both cultures through two ceremonies that were planned with intention and balance. The morning Tulu wedding ceremony embraced an aesthetic that included banana leaves, coconuts, ivory tones, rajnigandhas, gajras, and touches of gold. The second ceremony followed in the afternoon. After exploring several options, the couple chose a palette of powder blue and ivory that felt soft yet distinct against the Corbett landscape.
