How They Met
Aditi shares, “Yashovardhan and I met through common friends while I was working in Mumbai. We clicked instantly and there was no looking back from there! Within 6 months of dating, we knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, but coming from very different cultural backgrounds, the road to getting there came with its share of challenges. Our love persevered through it all, and the rest was history.”

Wedding Planning
Having always dreamt of a royal wedding, the bride knew it was Rajasthan or nothing, and the couple decided to tie the knot with a dreamy destination wedding at The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur that was planned to perfection by The Paisley Project. Looking back at their experience, Aditi shares, “I don’t think anyone else could’ve made this wedding so successful and memorable. The team of The Paisley Project is just amazing. They worked seamlessly with all stakeholders and ensured we got everything we desired – from the décor to artists, invites, return gifts and more. We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the best 3 days of our lives. We’ll forever cherish this experience, and it wouldn’t have happened without them.”

Wedding Functions
Welcome lunch
The guests were greeted with a traditional Rajasthani welcome and an intimate lunch soiree hosted on the lush lawns of the palace. The sunkissed, laidback affair sported a bohemian spirit with the decor of flower baskets, macrame hangings, colorful drapes, hand-painted pottery and more. Live acoustic music, carts of wedding favors and delectable cocktails further added to the occasion.

Cocktail
The decadence and glamour of Las Vegas took over the festivities with a riveting Casino Night. As the guests stepped across the threshold that carried the words “Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas”, they were transported to a stunning world of gambling, cocktails, professional performances and so much more. The decor of feathered centerpieces, crystals, neon corners, pop art, velvet chair and more, perfectly accented the mood of the evening. Entering in style with costumed dancers, the couple kicked off the evening of merriment.

Mehndi
A Kaleidoscopic celebration of Rajasthan’s vibrant culture, the Mehndi soiree was brimming with colors and enjoyment. In hues of pink and orange, the decor saw a variety of textures and prints, traditional crafts, quirky floral arrangements in bottles, crates, jars and more. A refreshing cocktail station, rousing music and henna artists kept the guests thoroughly entertained.

Sangeet
The Starry Night Sangeet Gala treated guests to the royal treatment right from the entrance, where they were greeted by a flower shower. Shimmering crystals, plush floral decor, regal seating arrangements and more, conjured up a picture of pure opulence portrayed beautifully against the backdrop of the palace. The couple arrived in great style on a motorbike, making their way through sparklers to the festivities that saw lively music and dance performances.

Haldi
The final day began with a lively sunkissed Haldi boasting of South Indian flavors. The sumptuous take on traditional marigold decor matched the royal setting with modern floral arrangements, breezy tents, gazebos, greens and more.

Wedding
Staying true to the royal splendor of the palace, the decor was in regal red with an abundance of flowers, billowing drapes, candlelight, crystal chandeliers and much more. The groom channeled his inner Maharaja as he strode in with an entourage of dancers before exchanging varmalas with the bride on a beguiling crimson flower-covered pool. Grand musical performances added to the magnificence of the occasion for the guests to cherish, while the intimate nuptials were arranged in a separate lush corner overlooking the lake and the shimmering night skyline of the city.

Advice for couples
“Do your research to get an idea of what you may want, such as location, themes, artists, etc., so it’s easier during the planning process and you can work in sync with your wedding planner. More importantly, no matter how things turn out, make sure to enjoy every little bit of the experience, because you’ll never get those moments back”.
