Ahana Raheja and Yash Patel, Vantara, Gujarat
From a stunning Van-Gogh-inspired sangeet to pranking the internet with a Taylor Swift doppelgänger, this wedding was a spectacular one!
Ahana Raheja, a luxury lifestyle influencer and daughter of Beena Raheja, who helms Beena Raheja Fine Jewellery, and Yash Patel envisioned their wedding in Gujarat as a world of its own. Conceived as an immersive, multi-day celebration, the festivities unfolded with scale and precision captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Cupcake Productions.

How They Met
Their story began in Mumbai during Ganpati season, when a casual night out turned into hours of conversation that lasted until sunrise. They exchanged numbers at 6 am and, within months, were certain about their future together.
Wedding Planning
Hosted in Gujarat with approximately 300 guests, the celebration was intimate in spirit yet expansive enough to include everyone who mattered. The planning focused on crafting distinct worlds for each function, ensuring that no two events felt alike while still flowing seamlessly into one another.
The visual storytelling was entrusted to Cupcake Productions, whose lens captured both scale and subtlety, from sweeping décor installations to fleeting candid moments. Their approach preserved the layered design details, dynamic performances and emotional rituals with polish and depth, creating a cohesive visual narrative across all five events.
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Set within a close circle of friends and family, the ceremony blended tradition with spontaneity. Water guns, bursts of laughter and a dunk pool added a youthful twist to the ritual, creating a sunlit atmosphere charged with joy. Soft florals and vibrant accents framed the setting without overpowering it, allowing the warmth of the gathering to take centre stage.

Sangeet
The sangeet transformed the venue into a luminescent garden. Orchids and roses were interwoven with fibre optic stems that glowed gently through the night, while oversized translucent poppy sculptures rose dramatically from the floor. Vertical LED panels animated Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and a cloud installation hovered overhead, casting a surreal glow across the space. The evening unfolded like a curated concert. Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh headlined with a commanding presence, while a DJ built momentum as the night progressed. The mood was immersive and electric, with lighting, sound and performance working in seamless sync.

Mehndi
The celebrations continued with a musical lineup that kept the energy soaring. Singer Harshdeep Kaur performed live at the mehendi. Mika Singh led the baraat in signature high voltage style, while the ceremony featured live vocals by Parthiv Gohil and Bismil. The after-party saw Rodolphe Manoukian take the stage before DJ Ganesh closed the night. One of the most talked about moments was a surprise appearance by what seemed to be Taylor Swift, only for guests to realise it was her striking doppelgänger. The playful reveal quickly became a viral highlight of the festivities.
The following day’s mehendi evolved into a poolside day party layered with lounge seating, striped umbrellas and floating iridescent spheres. Interactive stations offered lip gloss blending, fragrance bars, charm-making corners and nostalgic games, giving the event a distinctly youthful edge.

Sundowner
A palette of sunset hues washed over the setting, complemented by layered florals and ambient lighting that shifted gently from gold to amber as evening approached. Open seating clusters encouraged conversation against glowing skies and mellow music, creating a setting that felt romantic and modern in equal measure.

Wedding
The wedding ceremony returned to tradition with a striking palette of reds, oranges and marigolds. A grand embroidered toran framed the entrance, leading to a mandap adorned with swirling Sanskrit scripts that formed a textured backdrop. The design paid homage to Gujarati heritage while maintaining contemporary scale.
Guests received engraved glass bells, embroidered parasols and silk tambourines edged with delicate ghungroos, adding tactile richness to the ceremony. The varmala unfolded within a temple setting steeped in sanctity and symbolism. After completing the four Gujarati pheras, the couple marked their first act as husband and wife with a Maha Aarti, bringing the celebrations to a close.
