How We Met
“Ours is an arranged marriage, so we met through our parents. Destiny does play a huge part, and it was love at first sight for both of us. I have not only found an amazing partner but also a caring friend who always puts me first. The love and understanding we share is absolutely the same that I have seen in my parents. I am just so lucky to have him.”

Wedding Venue
“My sister got married at Sheraton Hua Hin, and my father specifically wanted a huge, larger than life kind of venue for my nuptials. When we first visited The Ritz Carlton, Abu Dhabi we fell in love with it as it is majestic, and I could visualize myself enjoying every bit of my wedding there. It’s a grand property and can accommodate a whole lot of guests. All our vendors also loved the services provided by the hotel as well as the accommodation.”

Wedding Planning
“Most of our vendors were fixed from my sister’s wedding as they had delivered to us brilliantly. So we booked CoolBluez Photography as our wedding photographer and videographers. I also got Simran Takkar for my make-up and wore Manish Malhotra and Anita Dongre outfits. We had Dubai-based Ferns and Petals as our wedding planners. They are locally based and have an excellent team. All the events were streamlined because of all these lovely vendors and we will always be thankful to all of them.”

Wedding Functions

Mehndi Party
The couple wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities, which they felt could be showcased best through elegant and chic aesthetics. So they followed a colorful and quirky approach when it came to the mehndi decor that blended yellow and pink hues with Indian decor accents.

Welcome Dinner
“The highlight of the welcome dinner was the Arabian theme. The stage was set and the lighting arrangements added to the mood of the evening. All the performances for the night were entertaining, and we couldn’t stop dancing until late that night!”

Pool Party
One of the highlights of the wedding festivities was the fun pool party held the next day that included some unique and quirky decor elements. The resort boasts of a beautiful pool with beautiful space around it, so the couple decided to make the most of it by decorating it with bespoke decor. The color theme for the decor included blue, green and white hues. The guests were welcomed with the huge wedding hashtag signage placed by the pool and the seating arrangements looked gorgeous in blue.

Wedding
The wedding decor incorporated tones of peach, pink and gold, and the bride wanted to blend in some modern western elements too. There were fairy lights as well as a circular setup decorated with fresh flowers that formed the backdrop. Anchal wore a red lehenga with a contrasting blue border and dupatta. She made for a beautiful picture when she entered with her father. Shubham wore a gold sherwani and looked like a regal prince in it.

Advice for Couples
“Make sure you hire the best team for every division; they may cost you a little extra, but that’s worth it. Do your online research but make sure to visit vendors personally, understand their style of work, understand the deliverables and then go ahead.”
