Anisha Pamnani and Hitesh Sukhnani, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai
The glamour couple planned the wedding of their dreams in just 2 months!
After a whirlwind romance, Dubai-based PR Consultant Anisha Pamnani tied the knot with Hitesh Sukhnani, Founder of a UAE-based logistics company and part-time actor/model, in a stunning celebration that overlooked the shimmering gulf. WeddingSutra Favorite – OH! SO Desi Events curated the luxurious wedding with thoughtful personal touches, the nuances of which can be appreciated in these shots by WeddingSutra Favorite – Magic Motion Media.
Wedding Planning
Having decided on Dubai as the location, the couple wanted to a beautiful beachside venue for a dreamy sunset phera ceremony, and The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai was a perfect fit. With just two months to plan the wedding, the couple turned to OH! SO Desi Events to manage and execute every detail to perfection.
Anisha shares, “Jyoti Jalan from OH! SO Desi Events was a blessing! She went over and above her role as a wedding planner for our special day, and we cannot thank her enough. There was no way that these two days would have been so memorable without her hard work, knowledge and attention to detail. She was available 24/7 and was like a friend who supported us in all aspects of the planning process. While we had initially spoken to many international wedding planners, there was no one who added that personal touch from the first call itself.”
She adds, “All of us, my husband and I, and our families could trust her with our eyes closed for anything during the wedding. As a bride, Jyoti made sure I had the most memorable time during all the madness. The OH! SO Desi Events team have become like family to us. They have a very endearing approach and a solution to everything.”
The renowned team of Magic Motion Media captured the love and emotion of every second in gorgeous frames.
Wedding Functions
Sangeet
The Sangeet ceremony was glamour galore, complete with disco balls and a big, shiny unicorn at the entrance. The theme was #DancingToLove, and the evening included a “Spin The Wheel”, including creative drinks like ‘Brides Nightmare’ (shot of whiskey), ‘Groom’s Horror Shot’ (shot of Jagermeister), Water shot, Juice Shot, Tequila Shot, Vodka Shot, Gin Shot, Surprise Me, and much more. The mixologists also had unique cocktail names using the couple’s hashtag #NishanaHit such as Nishana Gin and Hit Whiskey amongst other fun ones such as Perfect Match, Love Potion, Flamed Old Fashioned, and Golden Sunset. The events were hosted by one of the groom’s close friends and actor, Maradona Rebello.
Wedding
The wedding ceremony was a dreamy, floral extravaganza framed by the shiny Dubai skyline and the shimmering water of the Gulf. The groom arrived with the traditional baraat astride a horse, while the bride entered through an exquisite white gate. Dressed in a stunning red lehenga and blush sherwani respectively, the bride and groom exchanged bright maroon varmalas amidst a flower shower.
Reception
The festivities came to a close with an elegant Reception for the newlyweds. A chic palette of blue, purple, and white was decorated with chandeliers and fresh flowers for a modern, luxurious feel. Matching the color scheme, the bride sported a stunning Gaurav Gupta gown in powder blue while the groom looked dashing in a textured and patterned velvet tuxedo. As the couple shared their first dance and enjoyed with their loved ones, the musical stylings of Walter Scalzone filled the air with magic.
Advice for couples
“It’s always the smaller moments that make the most lasting memories. While we aimed for perfection as every couple does, with our short timeframe, we did have mishaps. But those moments have now created a lifetime of memories. We recall moments such as booking our last-minute honeymoon travel plans as we were getting ready for our Sangeet night or rushing to the mall a week before to buy our wedding shoes.
With our short time frame, while we sometimes felt it was impossible to plan it, this also added to the excitement of our wedding. Looking back at the photos and videos of the ceremonies now, we wouldn’t have changed a thing. It is also important to delegate tasks to your relatives/friends to ensure you can focus on other areas. That way, as a couple, we dedicated our time to the aspects of wedding planning that were the most important to us.”
