High-school sweethearts from the age of 16, Urban Planner Anshita Jerath and Finance Professional Pulkit Khorana shared many of their milestones by the ocean. In a befitting ode to their journey to love, the New Zealand-based couple chose to start their new journey by the ocean, embracing the coastal charm of Thailand for their dreamy wedding. Wedding Venue
With its picturesque and intimate setting, stellar views, and diverse selection of culinary offerings, The Palayana Hua Hin was the venue of choice for the couple’s dream beach wedding. Anshita shares, “We live in Auckland, New Zealand and our family and close friends are spread across the world in India, London, Australia, USA, and Canada. For us, Thailand provided the best central location for our family and friends to come together, and a tropical summer getaway to those traveling from New Zealand. Since we met on the beach, it also felt meaningful to choose a venue where we could have a beach wedding. Our journey came full circle and it was truly magical.”
Wedding Planning
The Divine Events was tasked with bringing the couple’s vision to life, with the help of a team of talented vendors. The couple sported memorable looks for each of their events, decked in stunning couture pieces from notable designers Mishru, Qbik, and Ritika Mirchandani, among others.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
To recreate the magic of Pulkit’s proposal to Anshita, the Mehndi sundowner was imbibed with the vibrant charm and breezy vibe of the Amalfi Coast. Billowing drapes, teepees, and cozy lounges set a relaxing tone, while bright flowers and tons of lemons added that Italian touch. The bride matched the ambiance in a bright yellow lehenga with pops of pink, while the groom wore a pink kurta with pops of yellow.
Haldi
The next morning dawned with a traditional Haldi ceremony. To stand out amidst the yellow decor and yellow-clad guests, the bride and groom looked radiant in fuchsia as their loved ones showered them with flowers and turmeric. The occasion was followed with the fun and frolic of a pool party, where everyone unwinded and cooled off before gearing up for an evening of enjoyment.
Sangeet
Taking a cue from the couple’s love for nature and long walks, the Sangeet evening transported the guests to an enchanted forest filled with lush foliage, sparkling disco balls, crystal accents, and more. From the entry decor to the stunning stage setup, the wild and exotic arrangements filled the evening with an air of tropical luxury. The couple and their loved ones took to the stage with incredible performances and danced away the night with delicious cocktails and rousing music.
Wedding
Framed azure seas, the wedding was a pastel wonderland that seamlessly blended tradition with tranquility. Dressed in tones of blush pink and pistachio green, the couple looked ethereal amidst the floral decor of the same palette as they took their vows in a breezy, beach ceremony. The newlyweds changed into white ensembles for their Wedding dinner, where their loved ones toasted their health and happiness.
