Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa, ThailandVJ-Anchor Archana Vijaya met Delhi businessman Dheeraj Puri at a common friend's wedding two years ago and they have been dating since then. They tied the knot in a full-filled destination wedding in Rayong, Thailand.
Archana Vijaya got married to Dheeraj Puri in a fairytale beach affair at Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa, Thailand. Set on the beautiful Eastern Thai coastline just one hour drive from Pattaya, the property complimented perfectly to the three-day planned festivities.
Each event had a cool theme- the Mehndi function was called Vanilla Sky, where the dress code was ‘Bright and Breezy’.
It was followed by the a ‘Moulin Rouge’ Sangeet night, where the dress code was Parisian Glam.
The following day, the wedding ceremony was held at Rayong’s beach front during sunset; after the sit-down dinner an all-night party at the Hotel’s nightclub was the grand finale.
Archana looked gorgeous in a cream and gold lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani, while her groom looked dapper in a grey sherwani.
Archana and Dheeraj met at a common friend’s wedding two years ago and they have been dating since then. When asked what made her decide to take the plunge she quipped: “Marriage really was not on my mind, but Dheeraj is a very kind and charming man, so I had to say Yes”. Archana is not relocating to Delhi immediately due to her professional commitments so she will keep shuttling between Mumbai and Delhi.
Models/ Actresses Pia Trivedi, Raima Sen, Riya Sen, Actor Dino Morea, Sports stars Ritwick Bhattacharya, and Murali Kartik were some of the friends of the couple who were present throughout the wedding celebrations.
Archana herself was active on social media (Twitter and Instagram) during the celebrations, and shared wedding photos with her friends and followers.
