How they met
Hailing from Marwadi Jain families with roots in Rajasthan, Arisht Golecha and Anushka Chordiya were an arranged match who found love in tradition. While their families got along from the first moment, the couple didn’t get off to the best start. It was at their second date that they shed the reservation of formality and bared their true selves, striking a connection as they spent the whole day together. After Anushka returned to her home in Chennai, their conversations only grew, and before long they knew they were ready to begin their lives together. Arisht popped the question with a dreamy proposal on a boat in Kashmir’s Dal Lake, and the two began planning their Big Fat Indian wedding!
Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a grand wedding that was full of Bollywood-esque glamor and style but that also stayed true to their Marwadi traditions and Jain beliefs. Hosted at the modern property of Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty, every detail of their festivities was planned and executed to perfection by the team of Beyond The Decor. Led by Nirav, who had always managed the wedding of the groom’s sister, the team adhered to all their requirements to craft an unforgettable celebration for their guestlist of over 700. From the catering that was done entirely from Mumbai, to hospitality for their guests who flew in from around the world, spectacular decor, entertainment, logistics, and more, they handled everything flawlessly.
Their special moments were captured by Movie’ing Moments. The groom shares, “From the moment we got engaged, I set to work finding the perfect team of photographers, and after a lot of research I came upon Movie’ing Moments, and it was the best decision I could have made. The team was extremely dedicated, and completely blended into our celebrations to capture every single moment. For both the pre wedding shoot and the wedding festivities, they made everything so comfortable for us. From their camera angles to their professional approach, everything was great, and I would recommend them to anyone planning their wedding.”
A celebration of epic proportions, the wedding saw a talented team of vendors and artists who came together to make it a resounding success. Angel Performing Arts choreographed spectacular performances for the festivities, DJ Ganesh added his rousing music to take them to the next level, and The Wedding Anchor kept the guests entertained throughout!
