Ayesha and Shrey, Fairmont Jaipur
Celebrating their love with a series of spectacular events, this couple’s destination wedding consisted of colorful floral decor and homage to traditions.
Sleek, regal and brimming with a multitude of hues – Ayesha and Shrey’s destination wedding in Jaipur was planned and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddings by Event Crafter. Reflecting their love for traditions while showcasing their affinity towards modern designs, this wedding was picture-perfect.
Wedding Planning
Nitika Nagpal from Weddings by Event Crafter shares, “The planning of this union was entirely virtual with the couple residing in the USA and arriving in India just 48 hours before the event. The entire wedding was planned virtually and the couple hadn’t even seen the wedding venue in person. Our team gave them a virtual tour of the venue to ensure complete clarity and help them imagine each event.
Initially, Ayesha was very inspired by the Waldorf Astoria Cancun, Mexico. However, as she looked at the venue in Jaipur, she was pleasantly surprised. Our creative wedding design coupled with the venue’s aesthetics surpassed her expectations. The couple met midway despite their differing tastes. As wedding planners, we bridged the gap via clear communication and airtight planning. We meticulously curated a wedding that balanced their tastes, resulting in a truly unforgettable celebration for them and their loved ones. The ambience exuded a luxurious and fun vibe, mirroring the couple’s preferences.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Nitika shares, “This wedding marked the first-ever Mehendi celebration held at the majestic Chaar Bagh, an in-house venue at Fairmont Jaipur. Surrounded by fragrant frangipani trees, the mehndi celebration was adorned with floral decor and lush foliage in tandem with the venue’s beauty. Earthy hues, wooden furnishing and ivory elements accentuated the color palette. On the other hand, gilded arches added a generous dash of opulence.”
Haldi
The haldi was a stunning ode to traditions with marigolds and banana leaves. An elegant mix of white, green, orange and yellow hues graced the venue. The couple made a picture-perfect entry flanked by traditional dancers and had a gala time getting slathered by haldi. A Vrindavan-style Radha-Krishna performance by professional artists gave the festivities an auspicious touch.
Cocktail
Electrifying performances, a vast stage and LED lights marked the cocktail ceremony. With every guest in the house grooving to energetic tunes, the cocktail went on till the wee hours of the night. A busy bar and the mesmerising play of lights on the ceiling and the walls of the banquet hall put everyone in the mood to party.
Wedding
Taking advantage of the venue’s heritage architecture, the wedding looked regal yet modern. Hosted under the starlit sky in August, the wedding mandap was an extravagant creation that sported a plethora of pink, peach and red blooms. Vintage crystal chandeliers, a chrome aisle and gilded arches were added to finish the setup.
Reception
Weddings are a once-in-a-lifetime celebration and to ensure that the couple took home unforgettable memories from their big day, the planners surprised the couple with a live sketch of their wedding ceremony on their reception day. The decor included white blooms with lush foliage lit up by multiple chandeliers. A live performance gave the festivities a glamorous end.
