How They Met
Divya shares, “We first crossed paths while visiting a mutual friend’s Ganpati pooja. Though we did not speak much there, Kunal later added me on Instagram. It was a whole month before we started chatting online. However, once the ice was broken, we just clicked!”
Wedding Venue

Wedding Planning
The couple hosted their beachside festivities during the chilly month of December when they could enjoy the hospitality of Thailand completely. To capture their precious moments, the couple chose Weddings by Reflections. Bride Divya shares, “Weddings by Reflections gave us an amazing experience! They were on their toes the entire time and transformed our memories into beautiful videos and pictures. Working with them was a seamless experience and we struck up a rapport instantly.”
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The mehndi was a vibrant celebration that cut a striking contrast against the sunlit, light blue sky. Canopies crafted out of rani pink and yellow drapes sheltered the guests and urged them to shake a leg on the dancefloor. Dainty yellow wall hangings, a bandhani-printed dancefloor and a stylish entry by the couple atop a tuk-tuk put everyone in a cheerful mood!
Welcome Dinner
With the theme ‘London Thumakda’, the couple’s glam team was on point at the Welcome Dinner. The men donned typical English suits complete with waistcoats and hats while the women stunned in gowns. Needless to say, glamour was at its peak as everyone mingled freely and indulged in a delicious feast.
Haldi and Pool party
After the semi-formal welcome dinner, the couple kept it breezy and casual the next day with a boisterous haldi that was accompanied by a pool party. Basking under the sun, playing engaging games while slathering the couple with haldi – the guests made the most of the tropical weather! A picture-perfect flower shower paved the way for some amazing shots.
Sangeet
In the evening, a larger-than-life sangeet celebration awaited the wedding party! A ceiling filled with cascading fairy lights, entertaining performers, a monochrome chevron-printed dancefloor and a romantic ring exchange ceremony punctuated the event. Plus, live international artists ensured the dancefloor was full till the wee hours of the morning.
Wedding
For the big day, all stops were pulled. Crafted against the backdrop of the horizon where the sky met the sea, the wedding mandap sported soft pink and purple hues. The aisle that led to it was also lined with blooms and lanterns. Divya made a unique entry on a boat and exchanged varmalas with Kunal on a stage decorated with asymmetrical floral arches.
Reception
The reception followed an ‘enchanted garden’ theme where the guests were transported to a green, foliage-filled dreamland. Hosted indoors, the decor sported lush tropical leaves, gilded frames and dainty blooms that added a splash of color. Later, everyone took the dancefloor by storm as a live band gave an energetic performance!

Divya shares, “This one is for the brides – don’t stress too much about the planning, in the end, everything falls into place. Just enjoy your wedding.”
