Himanshi Kawad and Nikhil Chandan’s wedding unfolded as an exquisite celebration of devotion and grandeur. Hosted in December at the iconic Jai Mahal Palace, the couple’s nuptials were a vision of timeless elegance and heartfelt emotion. Orchestrated by the WeddingSutra Favorite – Studio Eventz, the celebration brought together over 1200 guests for an experience that was majestic in scale and soulful in spirit.
Wedding Venue
The choice of Jai Mahal Palace as the wedding venue was nothing short of perfect. With its rich heritage, manicured Mughal gardens, and timeless architecture, the palace offered an ambience of regal grandeur while maintaining an intimate, soulful charm. Its sprawling lawns, intricate jaali work, and majestic domes provided a cinematic backdrop for every ceremony, from serene rituals to vibrant festivities.
Wedding Planning
For Himanshi and Nikhil, their wedding was envisioned as an experience that resonated with beauty, sanctity, and legacy. They wanted to create an atmosphere where every guest felt part of something sacred and timeless. Bringing this vision to life was Studio Eventz, whose expertise in translating emotions into immersive design made every detail unforgettable.
“From the moment we began conceptualising, our focus was on crafting an experience that blended grace with grandeur,” shares Team Studio Eventz. “Every element, from floral storytelling to architectural detailing, was designed to mirror the couple’s sense of purity, celebration, and continuity.”
The journey of celebration began even before guests arrived in Jaipur. An entire flight was exclusively booked for the wedding, with bespoke in-flight magazines and curated experiences adding a luxurious, personal touch. Upon arrival, the couple made a grand royal entry, Himanshi in a graceful palanquin and Nikhil in a magnificent chariot, setting the tone for the royal festivities ahead. Traditional safas, floral showers, and warm welcomes enveloped guests in an ambience that was opulent yet deeply heartfelt.
Wedding Functions
Welcome
The festivities commenced at the enchanting lawns of Jai Mahal Palace, where guests were welcomed amidst soft pastel florals and gentle music. Pichwai-inspired motifs, lotus patterns, and mint-green arches created a serene yet regal setting. Under open skies and with the palace as a backdrop, the décor radiated calm sophistication.
Jamai Jeeman
Jamai Jeeman is a special ceremony in Gujarati weddings where the groom is invited for a traditional lunch with the entire family. Drenched in hues of deep red and gold, the space captured the essence of regal opulence. Intricate drapery, ornate chandeliers, and artisanal details reflected traditional artistry. Laughter, blessings, and camaraderie filled the air as family and friends gathered to honor the groom’s family.
Carnival
The following day unfolded in a burst of joy and color as the lawns of Jai Mahal Palace were transformed under the theme Daylight of Dreams. Pastel canopies, floral arches, and whimsical installations created a dreamy, carnival-like ambience. Celebrity entertainer Sunil Grover, performing as ‘Gutthi’ kept guests in splits, while vibrant stalls, live acts, and playful décor filled the afternoon with laughter.
Sangeet
As dusk fell, the celebrations transitioned into an electrifying Techno Tunes Sangeet at Gulmohar Palace. Guests entered through a futuristic light tunnel into a spectacle of immersive design and music. The evening began on a spiritual note with Shankar Mahadevan’s rendition of the Namokar Mantra, an ode to the couple’s Jain roots, before the energy shifted into a dazzling night of global performances, interactive experiences, and avant-garde entertainment.
Highlights included a rotating piano with edible cake keys and a star catcher flown in from Denmark, blending wonder with artistry. “We wanted the Sangeet to reflect innovation meeting emotion,” adds Team Studio Eventz. “Every installation, every note of music was designed to surprise and enchant.”
Wedding
The décor—crafted in soothing tones of mint and gold—featured lotus ponds, pearl details, and soft candlelight glimmering against silver vases. The ambience felt ethereal, a perfect confluence of devotion and artistry. As soulful music filled the air, the varmala ceremony unfolded amidst architectural pillars and a central dome.
Reception
The grand finale was a night of glamour, emotion, and luminous celebration. Guests entered through an elegant passage alive with live classical performances, from violinists to harpists, setting an enchanting tone. Crystal chandeliers and Victorian sculptures framed the venue, while personalized touches such as Polaroid corners, engraved keepsakes, and handwritten postcards added warmth to the grandeur.
After Party
The festivities culminated with a whimsical after-party at Bagh, themed ‘Once Upon a Time’. Under a canopy of twinkling lights, guests danced the night away amidst lush florals, cocktails, and an electric energy that carried into the early hours. It was a night of pure joy and togetherness—the final chapter of a wedding that seamlessly blended grandeur, intimacy, and artistry into one unforgettable celebration.
