How they met
Irina and Dhruv first crossed paths in New York when they were introduced by a mutual friend. Despite knowing that Dhruv was returning to Hong Kong soon, they couldn’t ignore an instant spark between them. What followed was countless hours on the phone, and a trip they decided to take, meeting midway in Amsterdam. The trip put things in perspective and they knew they wanted to make their relationship work, despite the challenges of long distance. Daily calls, frequent trips and splitting their time between the two countries eventually led them to take the next big step of starting an exciting new life together in New York.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The bride shares, “We chose traditional Indian decor with a fun flair. We were keen to show the beautiful colors, the true essence, and the incredible culture to all those visiting India for the first time. When we arrived at our mehndi entrance my husband jumped off our horse about 5 minutes early because he wanted to ensure that all was going as planned! I ended up making my grand entrance alone because of him.” The mehndi was a vibrant day affair with quirky yellow and blue decor. The bride donned a pastel peach lehenga by Anita Dongre while the groom looked dapper in a Shantanu and Nikhil ensemble.
Haldi
Vibrant decor in citrus hues and an abundance of marigolds ruled the decor for the lively Haldi festivities. The couple looked like a picture of happiness in charming yellow attires as their loved ones smeared them with auspicious turmeric paste.
Sangeet
The Sangeet was a night of dancing with great fervor, psychedelic lights and heady music. It was also a novel experience for the overseas guests. The bride wore a dazzling ensemble by Neeta Lulla while the groom sported a glam look in a Manish Malhotra outfit.
Wedding
Every inch of the grand wedding celebrations exuded luxury and opulence. The stunning Mandap of red, gold and white left everyone awestruck with its magnificence. The bride channeled royalty in a velvet maroon lehenga by Sabyasachi and the groom looked pristine in a sherwani by Shantanu and Nikhil.
