Jay and Tavishi envisioned a celebration that was deeply rooted yet refreshingly original. One that would seamlessly weave their diverse cultural influences into a spirited Goan escape. To bring this vision to life, they entrusted Baraati Inc, known for its immersive, experiential celebrations.
Shikha Chauhan and Shweta Acharya of Baraati Inc share, “Right from our first conversation, Tavishi was clear about her desire to incorporate her Kashmiri roots, and Jay wanted the wedding to feel relaxed yet unforgettable. Together, we curated a celebration that balanced sentiment and spontaneity, where every detail was deliberate and every moment full of heart.”

Wedding Functions
Welcome
The celebrations began with a breezy Welcome Lunch that instantly immersed guests in the Goan spirit. Greeted by local serenaders and acoustic melodies, attendees were guided from check-in to the venue with cheerful tunes and warm hospitality.
A Polaroid photo booth captured candid arrivals, with each snapshot lovingly placed into a curated guest book. A beer boat, fresh tender coconuts, and a fun ‘Ring the Bell’ station serving instant cocktails added to the tropical charm. With sun hats, chilled drinks, and easy conversation, the afternoon set a relaxed and joyful tone for the days ahead.
Mehndi
The Mehendi paid homage to Tavishi’s Kashmiri roots with vibrant florals, traditional pherans, and evocative décor. A moving highlight was when the bride’s mother and aunts, dressed in Kashmiri attire, surprised guests with a traditional dance—a heartfelt nod to heritage.
The evening transitioned into Garam Masala – Boiler Room Night, a high-octane after-party with red lighting, dancing slippers, offering a striking contrast to the cultural elegance of the Mehendi.
Haldi
Nature played a muse during the Haldi, held beneath a majestic tree on the Alila Diwa grounds. Adorned with marigolds and flowing fabric, the space radiated a serene, organic charm. Post-Haldi, the celebration moved poolside—fedora hats, hand fans, and chilled coconut water added a tropical flair, while upbeat games and music kept spirits soaring.
Sangeet
The couple’s love for Bollywood took centre stage at the Sangeet, where cinematic décor transformed the venue into a film set. From ‘Now Showing’ signs to trophy props, every detail echoed movie magic. Family performances brought Jay and Tavishi’s story to life, while a show-stopping entertainment had everyone on their feet. With dramatic lighting and high-energy moments, the evening unfolded like a blockbuster.
Wedding and Reception
Breaking away from tradition, Jay’s Baraat was envisioned as a live concert experience. Positioned on a central riser, with DJ beats energising the crowd, Jay made his grand entrance amidst music, cheers, and unmatched energy. The wedding ceremony embraced simplicity and sanctity in equal measure. Set in Alila Diwa Goa’s tranquil courtyard, the décor featured sustainable elements and delicate florals, allowing nature to shine as the ultimate backdrop. As the couple took their vows, surrounded by loved ones, rose petals and ringing bells marked the culmination of this heartfelt moment.
The celebration concluded with an elegant reception filled with romance and refinement. Thousands of fresh flowers in soft hues turned the venue into a blooming wonderland.
