Jyotsna Asarpota and Siddharth Jain, Taj Hari Mahal Jodhpur
Painted against the palatial grandeur of Taj Hari Mahal, the wedding was a royal celebration of love and tradition.
UAE-based Jyotsna Asarpota and Siddharth Jain rang in their much-awaited wedding with a stunning destination wedding at the Taj Hari Mahal in Jodhpur, Rajasthan which was planned and executed to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Foreign Wedding Planners. Watch it all unfold below.
How They Met
Born and brought up in Abu Dhabi, Jyotsna Asarpota crossed paths with Dubai-based Siddharth Jain at work, where they both worked as Petroleum Engineers. The couple felt an instant connection and remained close friends for a year before realising they had stronger feelings for each other.
The Proposal
After dating for two years, Siddharth popped the question with a memorable, beautifully orchestrated proposal in Paris. While out on a walk, he took Jyotsna to a caricature artist under a bridge. Little did she know that the friendly artist who stopped them and offered to make them a painting was in on the plan and had pre-prepared one that depicted their proposal moment under the Eiffel Tower. To her shock, he handed her the painting two minutes in, and as she turned to Siddharth awe-struck, she saw him on his knee, holding out the ring just like in the painting. Needless to say, it was an instant yes!
Wedding Planning
The couple originally planned to get hitched in Thailand, which got derailed due to International travel restrictions during Covid, after which they zeroed in on Taj Hari Mahal in Jodhpur for its stunning location, property and hospitality. They brought on board the talented team of Foreign Wedding Planners to plan and execute the wedding and they stayed firmly by their side throughout the rollercoaster of emotions and stress of re-planning and postponing the wedding literally three times before tying the knot. Talking about the experience, they share, “Neha and her team were impeccable throughout the planning process. Although we had to work around our plan so many times, they took it all in their stride and seamlessly adjusted everything to suit our needs without losing momentum, and in turn gave us the wedding of our dreams.”
Their special moments were captured by the team of infinite memories.
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The festivities kicked off with a vibrant carnival-themed Mehndi function. Colorful decor of flowers and local crafts set a rustic, joyful mood. Entertainment by folk dancers, puppet show, rifle-shooting games, paan-wala, chaat counters and more, added to the fun of the occasion. The bride and groom wore coordinating outfits of green.
Sangeet
The evening continued with a glitzy Sangeet high on pomp and splendor. Riveting decor in black and red set a glamorous tone complete with fairy lights, flowers and more. The groom dazzled in a stylish printed Jodhpuri jacket and the bride flaunted a couture gown in soft blush.
Haldi
Hosted on the rooftop of the palace, the Haldi was a sun-kissed soiree in traditional hues of yellow, with tons of drapes and marigolds. The couple looked like a portrait of happiness as their loved ones gathered around them for the ritual.
Wedding
Set in a rich decor of crimson and gold against the palatial grandeur of Taj Hari Mahal, the Wedding was a royal celebration of love and tradition. The beats of nagada, a rousing baraat, a traditional bawdi mandap and more, all added to the regal ambience. Dressed in ivory and red, the couple channeled their inner Maharaja and Maharani for the occasion.
