Wedding Venue
Perched along one of Goa’s most picturesque coastlines, Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon proved to be the perfect pick for this multi-day celebration hosted in the month of November. Its expansive lawns, serene beachfront vantage points, and indoor spaces offered the ideal canvas for a wedding that demanded versatility and visual sophistication. The venue’s ability to transition seamlessly from playful daytime ceremonies to evening soirees elevated the couple’s vision at every turn.

Wedding Planning
With Manali’s background in interior design and Karan’s in fashion, they naturally gravitated towards a celebration rooted in artistry and purpose-led design. “We wanted every event to feel distinct yet connected, like chapters of one seamless visual story,” shares the couple. From the outset, they were clear about steering away from templates or overtly constructed setups. Instead, open skies, natural textures, and organic landscapes became the foundation of their design language.

The couple also emphasised drawing inspiration from the venue’s inherent beauty. “Their brief was clear, they wanted each space to feel alive and intentional,” notes Nafisa Sheikh Afonso from Purple Tree Event Solutions. “Our role was to channel their personalities into experiences that were immersive and resonant.” With meticulous attention to detail, Purple Tree created visually distinct atmospheres yet in sync by transforming each function into an experience that felt personal and deeply rooted in the couple’s sensibilities.

Wedding Functions
Haldi
A playful and high-energy Haldi set the tone for the celebrations, reimagining tradition through a lens of creativity. The décor took an artistic turn with paintbrushes and paint tins repurposed as décor accents, a lively graffiti wall serving as the photobooth, and brightly painted barrels crafted into a vibrant backdrop. The result was a setting that felt like an artist’s studio bursting with colour and spontaneity. The couple shares, “We never imagined paint brushes & tins as décor accents or barrels as a stage backdrop. It became one of the highlights of the wedding!”

Sangeet
For the Sangeet, transformation was key. The ballroom was completely re-envisioned into a trance-inspired forest, where nature met technology in a vivid, LED-lit dreamscape. With the entire room masked, the environment offered a sense of stepping into another world.
“The planning, design, and technical teams came together to build a stage design and LED backdrop that felt intentionally unconventional,” shares Nafisa. “It was created to immerse guests in a visual escape while still keeping performances centre-stage.”

Wedding
In a beautiful departure from the expected beachside setup, Manali and Karan chose to take their vows beneath a magnificent Banyan tree on the lawns. The natural canopy, paired with soft florals, earthy tones, and minimalistic elements, created a serene and intimate ambience. “We couldn’t have asked for a better phera stage,” the couple shared. The varmala stage, created with a balance of drama and restraint, stood out as one of their favourite setups with its artistic yet understated charm.

Reception
For the grand finale, the ballroom was reborn once again, this time in full Hollywood glamour.
Deep hues, moody lighting, reflective accents, and a cinematic stage design created an atmosphere that felt dramatically refined. “We wanted the space to feel like a complete visual reset,” Nafisa explains. “From forest fantasy to a glamorous celebration. This showcased how a single venue can hold multiple personalities with the right design approach.”
