This was a match that the universe was rooting for so deeply, it never gave up on it! While students in London, Kavya and Vedant stayed at the same student accommodation but never crossed paths, despite having mutual friends. It was finally when their parents set up an arranged match that Cupid was able to strike his arrow. Their wedding was hosted at The Leela Palace Jaipur with WeddingSutra Favorite – Plush Weddings curating each detail, seamlessly blending décor with royal aesthetics, with fireworks to mark the moment!
How They Met
When they met for the arranged marriage setup, Kavya and Vedant realized that they had been in the same accommodation in London while studying there. The first meeting with their families was so effortless; two hours flew by smoothly. A year-long courtship later, the couple went to Italy for their pre-wedding shoot, where Vedant surprised Kavya with a sweet proposal on a yacht in Positano, and played ‘their’ song — All of Me.
Wedding Planning

Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
Hosted in an open-air setting, the first function was the perfect introduction to the royalness of the venue. The quiet luxury mingled easily with the high-energy of the band that got everyone in the wedding mood.
Brunch
The next day, the guests gathered for the Brunch in Beirut, for which the Jaipur hotel transformed into an Arabic-Mediterranean landscape. With a décor palette of earthy browns, soft greens with a touch of rust orange, the afternoon soirée was the perfect relaxed opening for the wedding festivities.
Haldi
A Haldi décor that eschewed the traditional yellows for earthy reds and greens, this daytime celebration saw the guests shower the couple with petals as well as “high spirits”. With flamingo pinks, bringing in the touch of the Pink City, the celebration was as lively as it was cosy.
Sangeet
With high-energy performances, both by the couple and their guests as well as singer Stebin Ben, this was an evening that kept everyone on their toes. The couple left a note of gratitude to their guests for taking time out to bless their celebrations with their presence.
Wedding
The wedding day saw a turn towards a more royal aesthetic. Trained dancers heralded the groom’s regal entry into the mandap area. And the bride made her graceful entry accompanied by her parents. Fireworks lit the sky with joy marking the beginning of a new chapter in the #VESaidYA story.
