Kena and Viren, Thailand

From a majestic dining table resembling waves to over a thousand tassels transported from India to Thailand for the decor, Kena and Viren’s wedding at the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa impressed all. WeddingSutra Favorite – Wizkim Wedding Design and Styling orchestrated the festivities, and you are invited to take a peek at all that went down!

Wedding Planning
Meticulously designed by Wizkim Wedding Design and Styling , Kena and Viren’s nuptials presented a refreshing mood through the decor at each event. The impeccable setups comprised of interesting details which were brought together seamlessly and elevated the excitement at each function.

Wedding Functions

Mehndi
A vibrant mehndi kickstarted Kena and Viren’s wedding festivities. It was hosted at Aquamarine, and the hotel’s lawn was decorated at three different levels. Yellow, purple, turquoise, and orange were the colors used across the various design elements. Over 1,500 tassels in different styles were taken from India to Thailand for this event and were used as part of the decor, which also included abundant fresh blooms. The event had a very relaxed mood, and guests enjoyed taking photos with the pretty tuk-tuk photo booth and exploring stalls offering nail art, tarot card reading, soap carving, and more.

Sangeet
The mehndi was followed by the sangeet, where the highlight was a walkway that led the guests to the venue. Dancing spotlights lit the passage, and at the entrance, a split LED screen was used as a partition. Once inside, the guests witnessed a carnival-like setup, and the colors that dominated the night were red, white, and black. The stage was set up for a live musical performance and had a huge LED backdrop that matched the visuals to the music. In front of this, a large chequered dance floor saw guests grooving merrily to the hit tracks.

Wedding
Kena and Viren’s wedding took place during sunset, and soft colors were used to create a romantic atmosphere. The grand mandap, with a backdrop of beautiful golden cut work, was festooned with white and peach flowers and was set up at the far end of the venue. Large floral chandeliers hung from its ceiling while floral vines were gracefully wrapped around the pillars. A pattern similar to that of the mandap was printed on the aisle that was flanked by beautiful white vases filled with elegant flower arrangements.

Reception
The decor at the reception was all about contemporary opulence, and to create the right mood grey, white, and purple hues were used as the primary color palette. Tall arches were covered in flowers to give a gradient look and invited guests into the welcome lounge where a bubbling fountain added to the soothing atmosphere. A stunning installation crafted using strings of crystals was suspended just above the dance floor, which was situated in the middle of the venue. The focal point of the decor at the reception was a long table that mimicked the pattern of the waves and was lined with candles and glasses holding fresh roses.
