Lekhni and Nachiket took to the hills in Dehradun to celebrate their union with their loved ones in tow. Planning their wedding and bringing their vision to life was WeddingSutra Favorite – Krayonz Entertainment who with their finely honed skills amplified the festivities with lively acts, unique concepts and designs.
Wedding Venue
Spanning 4.25 acres and surrounded by lush hills as far as the eye can see, Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa was the picturesque canvas against which Lekhni and Nachiket made their dream wedding come true. Making the most of the scenic vistas when it came to their event setups, the couple housed their guests at this stunning 263-room property where they were utterly indulged. The versatile indoor and outdoor spaces ensured the duo had plenty of room to play with a variety of event themes and designs.
Wedding Planning
Achint Nag from Krayonz Entertainment tells us about the hustle that went on behind the scenes while the couple enjoyed every moment of the wedding festivities, “Nachiket and Lekhni, residing in Dubai, dreamt of a March wedding that showcased the breathtaking beauty of Dehradun to their guests. They desired a celebration steeped in tradition yet infused with modern elements. With 300 high-profile guests, the venue needed to be luxurious and spacious. Authentic Indian cuisine and impeccable hospitality were paramount.
Executing this vision for a multi-day destination wedding demanded meticulous planning, flawless execution, and a high level of creativity. Coordinating with the Hyatt Regency Dehradun to ensure exceptional service for 300 high-profile guests while showcasing Dehradun’s scenic beauty presented a significant challenge. Securing the presence of renowned artists like Bismil, DJ Taher, and The Meet Bros. required extensive coordination and logistical expertise. Transforming the various event spaces, from the intimate family gathering to the massive sangeet lawn, demanded collaboration with skilled décor specialists who could seamlessly integrate the desired themes with the luxurious setting. Creating an authentic Indian culinary experience with Purple Berry Catering while catering to the expectations of international guests necessitated a deep understanding of diverse palates. Facilitating a traditional Ganga Aarti performance by a team from Varanasi added a unique element to the celebration, requiring seamless integration with existing cultural practices.”
Wedding Functions
Cocktail
The wedding festivities began on a glamorous note with the couple hosting a silver and lavender-hued cocktail party indoors. Oversized blooms, larger-than-life LED butterflies suspended from the ceiling, a live singer and a vast stage paved the way for cherished memories. The couple made a sleek, futuristic entry with dancers wearing LED suits flanking them.
Haldi
Surrounded by lush hills and greenery, the haldi was hosted on an outdoor lawn with plenty of sunshine. Hues of white, yellow, orange and pink worked in perfect harmony with the green lawn creating a serene atmosphere. Showcasing their love for traditions, the couple made an entry with ‘Radha-Krishna’ dancers who also showered flower petals on their way. Later, the traditional dancers performed onstage followed by spontaneous performances by the family members.
Mehndi
Going down the nostalgic road, the couple hosted a mehndi peppered with ’90s hit songs that reminded them of their childhood. A pink dancefloor, massage stations for the guests and wildflower floral setups gave the event a whimsical vibe where the guests enjoyed themselves freely.
Wedding
A highly traditional affair lit up by crystal chandeliers and covered in drapes with ethnic prints, the wedding was regal with its red and gold color palette. Antique rugs, white tuberoses, white pillar candles and brass vases adorned the entryway. The mandap was created using latticework pillars, suspended blooms and a meenakari-style backdrop.
