Mallika Goel and Mohak Agarwal’s union was a classic example of the way a new-age Indian couple approaches weddings. Respecting rituals and traditions without cutting back on the fun, this wedding planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Baraati Inc had it all, emotional moments as well as carefree, playful sessions on the dancefloor! Designing these festivities was WeddingSutra Favorite – Elusive Dreams by Pooja Doshi who understood the couple’s aesthetic sense keenly and delivered a slew of beautiful celebrations.

Wedding Planning
Team Baraati Inc shares, “From the very beginning, the couple was quite clear about their wedding vision. They wanted a grand Indian wedding packed with traditions, music and fun. It had to be a non-stop party. On our part, we ensured that nothing was out of place and tried our best to make each of their wishes come true. Mallika is a huge Sukhbir fan and we had him perform at the festivities. Moreover, she even grooved with him onstage and had practiced the hook steps beforehand. Being exuberant and outgoing, the couple also didn’t shy away from grand entrances and were open to experiment, which was a game-changer for us.”

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Team Baraati Inc. shares, “The festivities kicked off with a sundowner mehndi where the couple made an impressive entrance dancing through the tunnel made by their friends holding colour bombs. It was a high-energy event where everyone shook a leg with their henna-patterned hands held aloft.”

Haldi
Team Baraati Inc. shares, “The theme selected for the haldi was ‘Arabic Haldi in Marrakesh’. As we said, the couple was quite open to experimenting with fun elements, so, at this event, we roped in a bracelet maker who set up a live evil eye bar where guests could come and get personalized bracelets. Plus, we also had a photobooth for polaroid photos which was quite a hit!”

Cocktail
Team Baraati Inc. shares, “For cocktails, the theme was ‘Cirque of Love’. The couple entered hand in hand to their favourite song while the guests held LED fireflies on both sides to welcome them. As the party started, glow-in-the-dark props were also distributed amongst the guests which made the venue glow brighter! A glitter bar, an infinity booth and a line-up of entertainers, like, the mirror men, toy room teddy and marshmellow, made the cocktail party an epic one as everyone was high-spirited till the wee hours of the morning!”

Wedding
Team Baraati Inc. shares, “For the wedding ceremony, everything just had to be perfect. We had the entire facade of the venue lit up with cold pyros, while the bride walked down a chrome aisle lined with blooms to the groom.

The varmala also was a breathtaking moment. The team adds, “For the varmala, everything looked picture-perfect with dancing pyros lighting the moment up while a petal shower cascaded on the happy couple. All in all, it was everything that the couple had briefed us – grand, regal with a dash of desi spirit!”

Reception
Soon after the wedding, the bride changed into a comfier attire and the reception party kicked off. Shweta shares, “For the reception, we had a perfume bar where guests could get their own customized fragrances. The highlight, however, was Mallika’s dance onstage with Sukhbir who serenaded her with his tunes while they both shook a leg!”
