Meeta Gianani and Sohan Vaswani’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration that brought together two vibrant cultures, warm families, and a shared love for spontaneity and joy. Meticulously planned by The Wedding Network, the celebrations were equal parts playful and poignant, where every detail reflected the couple’s personality and deep-rooted values.

Wedding Venue
Nestled along a quiet stretch of Thailand’s coastline, Le Méridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa offered a serene yet luxurious canvas for Meeta and Sohan’s union, which was hosted in April. The property’s expansive beachfront, lush tropical gardens, and versatile event spaces made it ideal for a multi-day celebration with varied moods—from sunlit revelry to candlelit soirees. The resort’s seamless blend of Thai hospitality and modern amenities ensured guests felt pampered throughout, while its natural beauty enhanced every celebration, particularly the couple’s sunset beach wedding, which unfolded like a dream.

Wedding Planning
From the outset, Meeta and Sohan knew their wedding had to centre around the three F’s: Fun, Food, and Family. Working closely with The Wedding Network, every event was curated with a sense of joy, authenticity, and emotional connection. Annika Talwar from the planning team shares, “They wanted the wedding to feel like a warm hug—intimate, personal, and full of life. Every element had to reflect them—playful, heartfelt, and real.” From nostalgic decor to unexpected dance-offs, the planning team brought the couple’s vision to life with effortless finesse, ensuring every moment unfolded with ease and meaning.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
Held by the poolside under a canopy of fairy lights, the Mehendi exuded the charm of a nostalgic home wedding. Marigold blooms spilt over vibrant corners as the ladies sang folk songs, and laughter rang through the air. The atmosphere was delightfully unfiltered and steeped in tradition. A live acoustic band played Bollywood classics while families swayed to the rhythm, and by nightfall, the pool turned into a splash zone!

Carnival
Set by the beach, the Carnival was anything but conventional. Guests were welcomed into a pastel wonderland filled with fruit-studded floral arrangements, Limbo stations, bull rides, water balloons, and a healthy dose of cheeky games. With every corner designed for interaction, the energy was contagious. The highlight? A surprise flashmob that pulled everyone onto their feet!

Sangeet
In a ballroom draped in rich reds and cinematic nostalgia, the Sangeet paid tribute to the golden age of Bollywood, with a glamorous, theatrical twist. A larger-than-life backdrop featured legends like Lata Mangeshkar and Amitabh Bachchan, setting the tone for a night of full-blown drama and delight. Meeta and Sohan kicked things off with a dual ring exchange, followed by a spirited ‘Old vs. New Bollywood’ dance face-off. Meeta and her girlfriends stole hearts with a surprise performance, only to be outdone by Sohan’s tongue-in-cheek rendition of a classic song. The energy soared with a thumping afterparty and a wild dhol entry that took the revelry to a fever pitch.

Wedding
The wedding ceremony embraced quiet elegance against a dusky shoreline. Breaking tradition, the mandap took the form of a delicate, white tree-like structure, lending an ethereal softness to the setup. Just as the pheras concluded, a sudden downpour swept across the beach. In a moment of pure serendipity, the newlyweds and their guests danced barefoot in the rain, singing, clapping, and soaking in the joy. With the music off and spirits high, it became the most unforgettable moment of the weekend. As Meeta put it best, “It was perfectly imperfect—just like us.”
